I took four classes and terry was by far the best thus far (even tho a bit stiff) I wish they offered more Vinyasa flow classes. However, other classes just seemed choppy and without intent. Aquidneck Island needs more options and this is a fine enough studio but it just didn't offer a smooth Vinyasa flow type of practice which I am accustomed. I will give it a few more tries... Oh, and I still have yet to find meditation...did they used to offer it? I need to investigate than one when I go next time. Hari Om!

My husband and I recently moved back to the east coast and I used to do barre routinely in California and Hawaii. After a lull in working out, we were honestly dreading getting back to class as we knew we were super out of shape. The ladies (and one guy!) there however were friendly and helpful, and we didnt feel judged or looked down on because we were definitely at the bottom of the class in terms of fitness. I love the upbeat music, passionate instructors, and inventive routines to mix cardio, low impact isometrics, and weights while having fun. Even after just 5 classes, I've noticed a huge improvement in my tone and my strength. Getting back to barre has made me think more about my hydration, nutrition, and other healthy habits, and has been a needed reset in my self-care routine. I love that they have free classes for guys on fridays, margaritas after class once a week, and a motivating barre countdown for people who routinely attend. The studio has a wide array of class times, including morning, mid-day, evening, and weekends. Studio barre is truly a wonderful place that you can enjoy an hour of time just for yourself! They always keep an updated schedule on their original website: www.divinepoweryoga.com OK, now that my PSA is out of the way I'd just like to say that Divine Yoga is a great little respite in bleh Fall River. They have early morning classes all the way to evening classes. They've got weekday classes for the SAHM's and they have weekend classes for the office folk. The new studio has plenty of safe, well lit parking and the yoga room is beautifully refinished with high loft ceilings and warm wood floors. The only drawback for me here, is that they only offer warm (which is basically hot) and hot yoga classes. Sometimes, I want to do my practice but I don't necessarily want to sweat buckets either. So, I wish they would offer a few non-heated classes as well. Otherwise, I definitely recommend checking them out. The location is very convenient to Dartmouth, Fall River & Tiverton and all of the instructors are super friendly and cultivate a welcoming and accepting environment.
