McHugh did a private performance for me and my family and it was an absolute smash hit! My wife and I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as we did and the kids couldn't stop smiling in awe the entire time. His pricing is incredibly fair for the show and experience, and I'd highly recommend it for any group large or small (we had just 4 people). read more

If you are looking to have the best magic show money can buy, please look no further. we had 20 5 year olds for a birthday party this past weekend and we were very nervous how our first magic show would go good thing we hired James because he hit it out of the park with the children not only was he entertaining for the adults with his jokes and humor but the children got every single magic trick that he put out. the way he encourages the children to participate made it that much better & to end the show holding a bunny rabbit in a floppy hat what five-year-old wouldn't love that. I will be hiring James again for my next party & every other one in the future. Thank you again. read more

This past Saturday we celebrated our son's 11th Birthday with a Magic themed party, as our son has been fascinated with magic for the past 4 years! We hired Magician McHugh 4 years ago for our son's 8th Birthday celebration and we decided to have McHugh perform again this year. He is hilarious, fun, & funny, performing a wide range of tricks for the kids & adults! He had everyone involved & amazed by his magic, his humor, & even mind reading skills! The kids especially enjoyed taking turns petting the cute bunny at the end. It was no doubt absolutely worth having him perform as it made our time celebrating a truly magical and memorable experience for all who came! Thank you, McHugh, for bringing the magic to our home & Josiah's 11th birthday celebration!!! read more

His variety of tricks added a fantastic dimension to our family event and wow our little guests. Handling over 20 kids in a magic set is very hard work, and he did it with skill. I hired McHugh to entertain at my 70th birthday party. He came to the house a couple months before the event to look over the back patio and determine where he would conduct his act. We stayed in touch several times before the event, ironing out final details. He showed up more than an hour early the night of the event to set up. Once guests started arriving and were enjoying cocktails poolside, McHugh began working the crowd, doing magic. He went table to table and it was first rate magic including card tricks. It was a perfect setting for our guests. After dinner, McHugh put on a regular show. Everyone was so impressed with his act. He then spent some time talking to guests and answering questions. His fee was very reasonable, especially considering how professional his act was. He was easy to work with. Reliable. On time. An overall great addition to our party!! read more

At a birthday party for a lively, fun 104 (yes, you read that correctly) year old, Magic of McHugh entertained. He was prompt and friendly. He dazzled the crowd with close-up magic and received rave reviews. Children (under 8 years old) screamed with delight and giggled when he turned his attention to them. Asked what the highlight of the party was, the birthday "boy" said, "the magician." How's that for an endorsement? For fun, clean entertainment for ALL ages, you'll enjoy Magic of McHugh. read more

McHugh is great! He was a perfect addition to my son's 6-year old birthday party. For my son's 5th birthday, he wanted a magic-themed party, but I could not a find a reasonably priced magician for a kids' party in the area. Boy, was I excited when I found McHugh. Even though his next birthday did not have a magic theme, we went for it! We had about 12 kids, and they were in awe the whole time!!! McHugh was so good with them all. He is a father of three, so he was very soft-spoken and easy-going with the kids. The parents and grandparents loved the show too! He not only did a full :30-minute "stage" show, but before and after, he did a few roving magic tricks with the kids and adluts. It was a fun addition. He also made the kids balloon animals, which we know every kid loves! I would definitely recommend McHugh for any party. We had him for a kids' party, but I would expect him to be just as entertaining at an adult party :) Thanks, McHugh!!! read more
