We've used Magic Key twice now and both times they've provided quality service. The second time we used them, I had misplaced the original keys required for re-keying a difficult set of door knobs. They had to return to our house a second time because of my mistake, and they were understanding and kind despite me complicating their day and adding a second trip to the service. I needed a key made for my car door lock. I bought my car used and was aware the driver's door was replaced after an accident, but I didn't think about the door lock not being the same as the ignition. In the event that my fob won't unlock the car (it has happened) I'm stuck! It's a huge safety concern for me! I had to resort to leaving my car unlocked. After many attempts to get a new key for the lock, I tried Magic Key. I liked his webpage and I gave him a call. He said he thought he could do it! It was one of those days. Someone left the interior lights on in our car and the battery was so dead it wouldn't hold a charge. While trying to solve that problem, someone left the keys in the ignition AND pressed the door lock - in our garage. It was our only set of keys. We bought a new car and we were selling our old one to a friend. Before he came over to get it, I was trying random keys in the ignition to see if any fit so that I could give them to him. The first key I tried got stuck!! Even though it was in the 'lock' position, the accessory dinger rang when the door was opened and I couldn't lock it. It was blocking our car in the garage. I looked on Youtube for a fix, but didn't want to do anything until a locksmith came because I didn't want to mess it up further. I got a quick and reasonable response for key programming on yelp. I made an appointment for the next day online, but I got to the shop and it was locked. Called their number and was told they would be there soon. Didn't happen. The gentleman who answered said it would be $37 for a trip charge (I live literally less than half a mile away from the shop) and they could fit me in four days from when I called. He was rather gruff about the whole thing. Calked Magic key and the trip charge was only $15 and he was here in 30 minutes. He is so polite and professional.
