The upside of planning a kid's birthday party during a pandemic is that you don't have to restrict your virtual options to services that are local. We're across the country in California, and our 7-year-old son and his three friends were shrieking with laughter the whole time. We (the kids' parents) haven't heard them shriek this loud since their schools closed down. Magic Fred has just the right amount of aw-shucks cheesiness to make the magic tricks fun and accessible. I bought the goody bags for all four households, and the kids spent the rest of the afternoon playing with the plastic magic paraphernalia. Normally I hate cheap plastic junk that we get at kids' birthday parties, but the goody bags kept the kids occupied, screenless, and out of our hair. And since I was only buying for four kids, they were within budget. My son especially loved the magic kit that we purchased, and he impressed his grandma with a roster of 5 magic tricks at the Google Meet that we had two hours after the magic show was over. Our twin grandsons turned five today, and in normal times we might be going to an amusement park to celebrate or throwing a party for them and their friends at home. This year we asked Fred to perform his magic for us via Zoom. What a wonderful show it was! (A virtual show can be just as amazing as a live one.) Fred has some sophisticated tricks up his sleeve, and the boys were totally engaged--shouting out their responses, trying to guess what disappear or pop out of that magic box next. The boys laughed and jumped up and down. Fred has a sense of humor that appeals to both kids and grown-ups. And professionally, he couldn't have been easier to deal with or more responsive to us, even incorporating some pictures of the birthday boys in his act. I am a children's librarian and had Magic Fred perform for our summer reading program. There were about 125 people in attendance-- mostly children from 1st-5th grade. Fred handled the large crowd like a pro. His entire show was extremely well designed and well performed. His set and props were very professional and his jokes had both children and adults laughing. He kept the audience involved and engaged the entire time and moved from one trick to the next with perfect timing to keep things fresh and exciting. I was especially impressed by his sound track, which was perfectly timed to his tricks and gave the entire show a very polished, professional feel. I had to leave a review because Fred's show was great. It is hard to have a birthday party for an 8 year old girl during a pandemic. After some research, I found Magic Fred. He had transitioned his live show to Zoom and was putting on shows virtually. It was a perfect find. My daughter invited classmates, neighbors, cousins, etc. Everyone logged on and had a great time. Fred kept a great pace and made the kids laugh over and over. They were amazed at his tricks and he did a great job getting the kids to interact. The kids absolutely loved the fact that he taught them a few tricks at the end. They were all raving about this! Unbelievable! Fred exceeded my expectations! He was prompt to respond to all emails, texts and calls. Very pleasant and easy to work with. I had to switch our party date last minute and he was very accommodating. We live north shore of Boston, MA. He arrived and I was more than impressed with his gear and props! My house transformed which I felt was part of his Magic! He captured each person in our crowd of 20 kids (ages 4-14) and at least 20 adults. Everyone was happy and engaged. The show was so fun. He was entertaining. I had so many of my friends and family tell me how great he was! My kids are still having fun learning the magic tricks in his Magic Fred kit. Such a memorable party. When I initially contacted Fred, he got right back to me, confirming the party date and time, and answered all of my questions in a friendly and efficient way. Magic Fred put on a wonderful magic show for our daughter's 7th birthday party! He entertained more than 25 children for over 45 minutes. The kids were laughing and interacting throughout the entire show. They enjoyed participating in the audience, as well as being called up on stage to be the magician's helper. Magic Fred the Magician did an AMAZING show via Zoom for my daughter's 6th birthday party. The show was interactive, which kept all the kids (ranging from 3 to 8) engaged, entertained and excited for the next trick. During the show, I received messages from many of the parents saying how much fun their kids were having. Scheduling and contacting Fred was easy and streamlined. Magic Fred met with my first grade class in Florida and exceeded all my expectations. The children laughed and enjoyed his show so much their parents and siblings also watched. Magic Fred performed at mom's assisted living facility where most of the audience were seniors, but a number of grandkids, too. He was entertaining for the wide range of ages and his magic was appropriate for the entire crowd. Great sense of humor, great energy, and excellent magic tricks (lots of variety). This show was absolutely incredible!! I work at a childcare center and we had children ages 2-8 that were completely amazed by Fred, he spent a full hour entertaining teachers and children and had everyone smiling and laughing the entire time! I called Fred the day before our son's 6yr old Bday party and he responded right away . Fred squeezed us in knowing there would be snow that day and it wasn't ideal for him to do so. Can't say enough good things about magic fred. We were originally bummed that my daughters 4th birthday would have to be virtual, but magic fred saved the day (and the clean up was much easier!)
