I had to endure a long lecture about what parts they deem acceptable, and how they have wasted too many hours trying to fix parts that are not in their sphere of quality. I can understand reluctance to get into software or hardware that is not familiar to them, but they refused to even spend 10 minutes (which I was happy to pay for) even looking for a loose connection or anything obvious. The long-winded explanation of why they would not deign to look at it probably took longer than a diagnosis would. I know this for a fact because the problem seems to be a simple loose connection. Not impressed with their professionalism.

They assured me that it would be finished within 1-2 hours. I showed up an hour later as they were just finishing up. One of the associates was letting me know some of the features as the tech took it for a quick spin post build. They did not upsell me on accessories that I may or may not need, they helped me pick out a helmet and gave me some tips for my new bike, as well as offered me two free tune ups as a new customer. Great trails - not for beginners!…read more Rocky Knob is a beautiful, and extremely well maintained mountain bike park near Boone NC featuring winding, narrow and forested trails. Though I have some experience mountain biking, I would consider myself beginner/intermediate. I had a blast on the trails! But it was difficult for me, especially the inclines and the switchbacks and the declines had me pumping the brakes. I had to walk the bike at a few points but by the end I was able to complete a full trail without interruption! Reading other reviews and talking to some locals, I was told there is a Kindergarten track that goes around the parking lot that's suitable for beginners. Either I did not find the Kindergarten track or it's ironically named, couldn't see any one younger that 16 successfully navigating it. There was however a large playground that would easily entertain children, and covered benches for parents to supervise or have a picnic. The park also featured a small pump track suitable for all ages. I wasn't able to pump my way around the track but I had a great time pedaling around it!

They took the time to make sure we were outfitted comfortably and provided bottles for the ride. The Creeper Trail is stunning. Go early on a summer morning to enjoy the cool shade and breezes off the water. Our short trip with the driver to the start of the trail was kind, too. We plan to return and rent from Blue Blaze again.
