Folks, do yourself a favor and buy from your Independent Bike Shop, so you actually have someone to support your purchase. Five Stars to Rhoddie for me !

All top quality gear, but I have had trouble lately with the motor cutting out inexplicably. I had to endure a long lecture about what parts they deem acceptable, and how they have wasted too many hours trying to fix parts that are not in their sphere of quality. I can understand reluctance to get into software or hardware that is not familiar to them, but they refused to even spend 10 minutes (which I was happy to pay for) even looking for a loose connection or anything obvious. The long-winded explanation of why they would not deign to look at it probably took longer than a diagnosis would. I know this for a fact because the problem seems to be a simple loose connection. Not impressed with their professionalism.

After working on it for a few minutes they were able to tell us why it was happening and offered us a good deal on a part that would keep it from happening again. The highlight for my son was not that his bike was primed for his last day at Sugar tomorrow but the wild cheeto-print gloves he found.

I have purchased fly fishing gear and flies, a bicycle and cycling equipment, as well as performance clothing from MSL. If I was a backpacker, this would be my primary source of gear. Great trails - not for beginners!…read more Rocky Knob is a beautiful, and extremely well maintained mountain bike park near Boone NC featuring winding, narrow and forested trails. Though I have some experience mountain biking, I would consider myself beginner/intermediate. I had a blast on the trails! But it was difficult for me, especially the inclines and the switchbacks and the declines had me pumping the brakes. I had to walk the bike at a few points but by the end I was able to complete a full trail without interruption! Reading other reviews and talking to some locals, I was told there is a Kindergarten track that goes around the parking lot that's suitable for beginners. Either I did not find the Kindergarten track or it's ironically named, couldn't see any one younger that 16 successfully navigating it. There was however a large playground that would easily entertain children, and covered benches for parents to supervise or have a picnic. The park also featured a small pump track suitable for all ages. I wasn't able to pump my way around the track but I had a great time pedaling around it!
