The first time I went, I was happy because they didn't touch the top of my head at all. A few days ago, I got a fade and asked for a trim on top. He said he'd cut "half off." This is infinitely more than half. This is the shortest my bangs have ever been. He just kept hacking and hacking. I'd been growing my hair out for months, and now I look bald. I got this haircut for my birthday, and this experience has really soured the occasion. The first pic was my first haircut with them (different barber) with just the fade/no trim on top. The second pic was before this recent haircut. The last pic is my hair now. I'm very unhappy with the results. Not only do I dislike my hair now, but when it grows out, the proportions will be totally off. I think it'll take many months for it to grow back and be fixable. I'm never going back here. read more

When I was the Deli Manager at Shoprite I would go in their and Bruno did my hair and goat in 15 minutes and was always perfect and would spray me with aftershave that smelt so good I actually requested to buy a bottle and he hooked me up for a great fee!!! read more

At first I wasn't sure if I should go here based on the reviews but I'm happy I did ! My son is 5 years old and he has been going to the same barber for 4 years now who he is very attached to.. we just moved into the area so I didn't want to drive an hour to go to the barber we have been going to so I wanted to check this place out. My son not only loved the barber him and I loved his haircut ! I think it's important as a mother to have your child be comfortable with the barber. Came in 1 hour before closing, the guy did not take his time and rushed my hair in under 10 minutes, which looked awful. Do not go there.

I used to go to Bruno when he was with the Rome barber shop at the old Somers location. It was very convenient when he came up here. That turned my half-hour drive into a 5 minute trip. Bruno and Joe are both great. I like the shop interior a lot. They usually have the History Channel playing on the tv, which is a plus for me. read more

So I come in for a cut on a Sunday. One barber. 4 people waiting. This barber decides to have a 20 minute conversation with a customer before he turns on the clippers. This a very good barbershop. Joe and Bruno are my go to guys. It can get pretty busy in there, especially on Saturdays, so plan ahead. Joe is one of the former owners of Italia Barbershop at Putnam Plaza and Bruno hails from Rome Barbershop in Mahopac. Bruno owns Magic Clippers I and II. The introduction of a student's and a senior citizen's discount is a nice touch. read more
