The studio I visited is conveniently located in Mountain Brook and there is ample parking on the street in front of the studio. There is some cute retail clothing located at the front of the studio, and it was very clean and maintained. The front desk was so incredibly friendly when I arrived at MPOWER, and the instructor I took, ET was so nice and helpful. This is your standard, full-body 50-minute megareformer class, but ET offered modifications throughout the class for those who needed them. You get a great workout, burn a ton of calories, and you'll be sore the next day! Best of all, your first class is free! Highly recommend this place for anyone in the Birmingham area.

But we were hoping for a few things out of signing them up: improving that coordination, seeing if this might be something they can enjoy down the road and to wear them out so they sleep hard!! Their Covid process is really well planned out. They have a designated crowd flow plan with a specific entrance and specific exit. They also have someone at the front checking temperatures. The main gymnastics area are on the main level. It is a huge facility that has been buzzing with kids of all ages every time we have gone. For our little ones they have a smaller area upstairs where there is an observation area for the big area. And when I say smaller, it is just in comparison to the big area. It still has plenty of room. The instructors are great with kids, their facility is great and we really enjoy it.

I've done the 45 minute ride class and the Three15 classes They both kick my butt every time, but i think i like the Three15 more because it gives you more of a work out than just an intense 45 minute ride. The great thing about the workout though, is that the instructors do a great job of keeping you energized, pumped up and motivated! I've had different instructors every time and I have enjoyed them all! If you're new, you'll want to ask someone about the hand positions you'll need to know, because the instructors do tend to jump right in as if you're supposed to know what's next! Also, you'll want to arrive and book early because bikes and classes fill up super fast!

I kind of assumed going in that the instructors might be partial to 1 of the exercises more then others but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! When you are on the spin section of class you really will feel like you are in a spin class, same for Barre. The one part that I think could use some more improvement is weights. I feel like you never truly transition from barre type movements even though you do have the option to incorporate small hand weights. The main limiting factor of this is the small space they have to work with. I think if they one day move to a larger studio that they could incorporate a wider variety of weighted exercise that transition away from typical Barre movements. Overall I think its a great workout and competitively priced to the other studios around town. I'd recommend any woman try it just to shake up your normal routine a bit!

The beginner class is 30 minutes long and costs $5! We learned several line dances and had the best time. Once you feel ready you can graduate yourself to novice class which starts right after the beginnners where you can learn a little harder dances. Once every 3 weeks they have a Friday night dance at the studio! So excited!!! The studio is large and open- inviting and big enough to hold a good sized group.
