We decided to make a staycation out of it by booking a room and enjoying the bar and restaurants. NO REGRETS! If every San Antonian knew about this place, nobody out of town would ever get in! Our experience began with the greeting from the front desk clerk desk attendant, Jacob. He was awesome! Super attentive to our needs, friendly, and personable. At the spa, Our massage therapists were top rate! Roxi and Sera were very responsive to our aches and pains. We came in wound up and left ready to relax. Back at the hotel, the bar tenders are definitely skilled mixologists. Eric makes a mean Manhattan, his specialty is an old fashioned, but I saw everyone enjoying all the other drinks he made as well! Antlers Lodge is something special! The chef, Joseph Lambert, and his staff at the restaurant are masters of their craft! So humble but so masterful. The food was as top flight as any restaurant we have had in at the best New York restaurants or abroad... and this place truly represents San Antonio at its elevated best.

This place was amazing, and all the staff were incredibly polite and friendly. We ate at Antlers, a fine dining restaurant, the most incredible ribeye, and crème brûlée we've ever had. We also went to the Long Bar and had a delicious burger and brisket mac & cheese. They gave us a complimentary upgrade to a patio room. Our package included free breakfast each morning at the café. There was a beautifully stocked breakfast buffet. There were fire pits outside every night. My complaints: the general store with $8 water bottles. No microwave in the room to heat up leftovers & our bathroom was VERY small. All in all, we will definitely be returning!!!

I was waiting in line for the restroom in SAKE when a girl pointed out to a friend and I that "this guy has a girls wallet, I think he stole it!". I tried reporting a man that was going through a Kate Spade wallet in a back corner next to the women's restroom in Sake. I reported it to bartender "A". Bartender "A" then pointed me out to the guy I reported saying that I reported the guy. THE GUY NEVER ASKED BARTENDER "A" WHO WAS REPORTING HIM, THE BARTENDER WILLING POINTED ME OUT, 2 FEET AWAY, NUMEROUS TIMES TO THE GUY THAT I WAS THE PERSON WHO REPORTED HIM. I was then accused of lying and trying to create a a problem, even though 4 other people saw it, by the guy who I was trying to bring attention to. The guy who had the kate spade wallet then came straight up to me, acting like I was trying to fight him as he said "you want to post up", when I was waiting in line for the restroom. I did report him, because no guy who wears sweat pants has a white colored Kate Spade wallet wristlet. When I was inline to use the restroom, a bartender from the vault (a very nice woman) had come to stand in line with us. I told her everything that had just happened, and she wanted me to point out bartender "A" to her so that she could say something. She agreed with me that the situation was not handled correctly She even apologized on his behalf and wanted to make sure she spoke with him. As we were trying to leave after using the restroom, Bartender "A" got in my face, AS HE STRETCHED HIS BODY OVER THE BAR to shove me to get my attention, to yell in my face as the female bartender was repeatedly telling him to leave me alone. I tried explaining myself telling him "I understand you're not the police, but you put myself and my friend at risk as your friend tried to post up to us". (The bartender admitted him and this guy were friends as he was yelling over me). When I tried sticking up for myself, another bartender "B" came up asking me if I had a problem (I appreciate them having each other's backs). I explained the situation to bartender B how bartender A told the guy who had a Kate Spade wallet that I was the person who reported him. Bartender B seemed to be listening and understanding, but I gave up half way through since Bartender A was still trying to yell at/over me. I told bartender B we will not be coming back. Bartender A was wearing a beanie this night, This all took place on January 13th from 1:30-1:50 AM if you as the manager/owner want to look on the cameras, We WILL NOT be going back, and I suggest you do not go either if you care about your safety and whether or not you think SAKE "cares" about it's customer's safety.

After visiting for a weekend daycation with my bestfriend, I feel indifferent about the experience…read more While the landscape was beautiful, the heat was hard to beat even with ordering a daybed to be under a fan. When we were first sat, it was next to a bush that had so many bees. We asked a server to move but she stated all daybeds were taken (despite some being empty through our stay). We asked a second server our request again because we were unable to even sit on the daybed without bees swarming on us. This second server was able to move us with no issues. Upon arrival there were no towels, we had to ask multiple times before we received any. The food was served quickly thankfully and was pretty good- as well as our drinks. We ordered a pina colada and gin based drink. Both were good but it was way too hot to drink how we wanted. The turkey sandwich, guacamole and chips, and chicken tenders were also good and pretty standard. There was a separate adult pool on the lower deck that was a lot quieter than the general pool (and no kids) with better music. We know for next time to just order chairs here. Ending the night, it took at least 25 minutes for our final receipt to be given. I had to approach the bar area twice to ask what was going on. There seemed to be confusion on our pool tab and how to close our Resort Pass. Spending over $300, the experience could've been a lot better with quicker service. It was also hard to follow who was our server as we were greeted by 4-5 people through our time. I would consider coming here on a calmer day out of season if looking for a more relaxing experience. Plus to seeing the fireworks while leaving. The pools were a lot more enjoyable once the sun began to set which was around 7 (our stay was from 4-9).

I have never stayed in a room so nice (and huge) in my life! It has its own parking lot, its own smaller pool, and all the rooms come with a glass of champagne on arrival and a golf cart to get around the resort property. That was the funnest part imo. You can still go swim at the main resort or use the facilities of course. The room itself as mentioned is massive; it has a living room with a TV, huge bed with a TV in that other room, a small kitchen, two part bathroom with a shower and tub in one separate area, and two patios outside. There is a little sitting area/courtyard in the front too which I just know would be lovely at night to sit and have a beer and look at the stars. The staff were attentive and helpful, and I can see how hard they work to keep their spaces clean and organized for guests. Personally I also just find the topaz pool (adult-only infinity pool) that overlooks the hill country to be a little happy place of mine. The vibes are A1. Overall: I've been coming here once per summer for a conference, and I hope it can be an annual thing since I just really like this resort and want to try some other San Antonio restaurants, including signature which is Michelin recommended and on this resort's property!

Walking into the Magestic is truly magically as you feel transported back in time, it's truly a San Antonio gem! It's very beautiful. We got a couple of drinks from the bar which were grossly expensive, I got a margarita and my husband got a glass of wine, $42, before tip! Absolutely ridiculous. Also, I tried to get in line for the women's bathroom, but the stench that came out was horrendous, they definitely need to update their air fresheners. Will hopefully be back for another show, but will be getting drinks prior to arriving at the theatre.
