Such a large selection. Clean. The staff is very nice but not over bearing. This place is the better of the options that are around.

Dear Friends, As a…read morelover of lifelong learning, I was thrilled when Delta offered free admission to local historical sites as part of Super Museum Sunday. This year I visited the Historic Meadow Garden. It is located in Augusta, Georgia and was once the home of George Walton. George Walton was an orphan with the drive to help build a country. He was one of the youngest signers of the Declaration of Independence, twice governor of Georgia, a US Senator, and had the unique distinction to serve in all three branches of government throughout his years of service. This home is owned by the Daughters of Revolution. They are working tirelessly to restore the home to its previous 1791 glory. I had the pleasure of touring with the sites director Stephanie Roohani. Her knowledge and drive to accurately tell Walton's story is amazing. It was an absolute treat and she gave me three new sites to add to my list of places to visit. Group Suggestions: Contact them for group rates. Adult admission rate:$5. Military and 62+ admission rate: $4. Children 6-18 admission rate: $1 Children 5 and under admission rate: free They also host yearly Independence Day and Christmas holiday celebrations. They offer tours Monday through Friday but I'd call ahead to be sure that they are open. They are doing some incredible restoration work. Solo Suggestions: Bring a camera and a watchful eye. You might even see horse hair from 1791 in the walls while they are restoring the property. Please share your story, reel or photos with me when you venture out to Meadow Gardens in Augusta, Ga. Wishing you much fun!
