It truly made any other appointment I went to seem far lack luster in comparison. Laura made me feel not only like a celebrity, but such a special bride. I am so grateful she was my stylist and honestly, I would pay twice as much just to come back and have her style me again. The natural light in En Blanc made for a great experience and amazing photos so when it was time to look back, I really felt like I was looking at the most honest to life photos. Again, can't reiterate enough how amazing Laura is. I am sending every bride I know to her from here on out!

When I originally purchased my dress, I was specifically assured that it would come in my size and that I would only need very minor alterations, just a hem and bustle. Unfortunately, when the dress arrived, it looked nothing like how it did when I first tried it on. I was shocked and immediately stressed, especially because my wedding date was set for March 19th. When I brought the dress to the alterations team, they were genuinely surprised by what they saw and questioned how I had been told the dress only needed minimal work when it clearly required extensive alterations. I was informed the dress needed at least three weeks of work to properly fix and tailor it to my body. Because of this, my wedding date ultimately had to be pushed a few weeks just so my dress could be ready in time. What disappointed me most was the lack of empathy and accountability from the store owner throughout this process. I sent an email simply explaining the situation and expressing how stressful it had been for me as a bride. I was not asking for a refund, compensation, or anything in return, I only wanted my concerns to be heard. Instead, the responses I received felt passive aggressive and dismissive, which made an already emotional situation even more upsetting. While I'm grateful the alterations team was able to save the situation, my experience with the bridal store itself was deeply disappointing and not at all what I envisioned during such an important time in my life. If I would have known, I wouldn't have bought my dress from here. Super disappointing experience and I do not recommend this store whatsoever.

The customer service was extremely pushy. The consultant repeatedly pressured the bride to like a dress, even saying she had "found the one" when she clearly hadn't. We were also pressured to take pictures when we really weren't interested, which made the experience uncomfortable. We also witnessed the consultant snap impatiently at another employee in front of us, which was awkward and embarrassing to observe. When I arrived I was greeted by an unfriendly stylist who quickly asked me my budget. She didn't ask me about what I was looking for or where my wedding would be, and just told me she'd try to find me something in budget but that it would be very difficult as they have dresses in the range of $15-30k. It felt very scripted and judgmental. The other stylist then came over and told me I wasn't in the system or booked for the day. I showed my appointment email with the date and receipt of payment and they responded saying it wasn't possible and questioned me as if I was lying. The stylist then brought me into the room and told me she didn't believe in mistreating brides, and decided to squeeze me in and rush me through a few try ons. Throughout the process she told me I couldn't afford a lot of their dresses, told me I needed to work on my posture, and said I couldn't fit in a lot of their sample dresses (I am a size 6) and tried zipping dresses on me just to tell me they don't fit. They then asked me to leave early cause the next bride was there and I asked for a refund as I didn't get the full appointment I booked. The owner Nadia proceeded to yell at my mom and friend saying we were lying about our appointment being booked and said "get out" while I was standing outside crying. She was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I am truly in shock a business owner would treat a bride and customer like she did. As someone who has worked retail for over ten years, all it would've taken was telling me my appointment didn't sync properly in their system and they'd rebook me but instead they called me a liar, accused me of faking the booking, told me I couldn't afford their dresses, and didn't have sizes for me. Please clean up your act so another bride doesn't experience this kind of disrespect.

Beginning with instantaneous responsiveness when I first emailed, and ending with the detailed email for dress care and suggestions for photo poses that led to me being a phenomenally glamorous bride on my wedding day. When I arrived to her studio, Hanna was warm, welcoming and kind and immediately I felt comfortable. She showed me her gorgeous gowns, took photos and videos that she sent to me later so I could share with my friends and sister and get everyone's opinion. I fell head over heels in love with the palace gown. But. I am a inner city, Bay Area school teacher which means school teacher wedding budget. After falling in love with the gown (the sample fit me almost perfectly!) hanna offered to sell me the sample at a discounted price...needless to say..I SAID YES TO MY DREAM DRESS!!! Hanna and her seamstress made the small adjustments and I was able to pick up the dress just 2 weeks later. I took it home and 3 weeks after that, walked up the stunning staircase at San Francisco city hall next to the man of my dreams in the dress of my dreams. Hanna helped my quick wedding be full of glamour and shine. I felt like a showstopper in this gown and a friend of the designer. Thank you Hanna Hartnell!!

In my twenties, unfazed and emotional…read morebaggage-free, I thought about the fairy tale gown, complete with cathedral train to match a full-blown Filipino Catholic wedding. This was the gown that my talented Mother should have sewn for me. That dream was squashed when she passed away. And as an 'older bride', I wanted something simple and elegant. I called the Hanna Hartnell boutique, only to discover that bridal salons in the Bay Area do not carry her dresses. But they do have a "mail-order bride" program. I spoke to the designer herself, Hanna, who explained the process: With a $50 charge, three sample designs in sizes close to your basic measurements are sent to you. If you decide on purchasing a gown, the $50 deposit is credited against your account. Such a novel idea - trying on gowns in the comfort of your own home -- free of the hard sell, not competing for mirror space and sales assistant attention. I invited my assorted coterie of fashion consultants - Aunties, my sister, friends and cousins. I sashayed in my Dad's living room in three styles: Firebird, Peacock and Phoenix. Hanna's styles are glamourous, simple and sexy. I selected the Peacock dress - for its retro-glamour and its versatility for a beach wedding and for my wedding celebration -- a party weeks after our intimate ceremony. Despite the body skimming bias cut fit, the thigh-high side slit and the bare back -- this was surprisingly the dress I needed to work out the least for! And, when I asked my Aunties which dress Mom would have liked, all signs pointed to the Peacock. I loved the personal attention that I received from Hanna herself. I received several phone calls and e-mails from Hanna to know my style and status on the dress. What other salons could I have spoken to the designer? I'm not a celebrity, so Vera Wang or Monique Lhullier won't be talking to me. Two other bonuses: no alteration fees as the gown was made to my measurements that I faxed to her. It fit perfect. And although I was quoted about 4 months based on the general schedule, my gown was delivered in a month. When I placed the order for my gown, I got choked up. I wished Mom was the one to create my gown. I do think that Mom is very pleased that I selected a dress that wasn't mass manufactured but designed and sewn by artists like herself.

L'ezu's execution of my dream dress was the best experience of my wedding planning process. The quality of their fabrics, Patty and Corina's craftsmanship, and their attention to detail were top of the line. Many of my friends are asking for their number and I can't speak more highly of the entire experience and of these two ladies as individuals. I already knew exactly what I wanted for my special day the only problem was they didn't have a dress similar to what I wanted but my stylist told me they also do custom dresses and she can bring anything to life. I was shocked when he told me that! After going to 2 different bridal stores and leaving the appointments disappointed I didn't want to look more further because all I could think of was bringing my dress to life! So I made another appointment at Le Marriage Couture and we began customizing my dress. And the best thing is it took 3 months for my dress to be ready! My dress is a dream come true. They went above and beyond my expectations! I was speechless, my heart was beating fast! I was not expecting to cry on my last fitting! I didn't even want to take it off! I'll most likely sleep on my wedding dress after the party is over because is THAT beautiful! I want thank my stylist for helping me out and bringing my dream dress to life. Please brides!! If you want to be happy on your wedding day I highly recommend. Le Marriage Couture because you won't be disappointed! I shared some inspiration pics before my first appointment and Sherri immediately knew what I was looking for and pulled great options for me to try. I felt so confident saying yes to the dress here! This is a hidden gem tucked away in Sawtelle. It's not pretentious but rather a casual and relaxed atmosphere with fairly priced dresses and accessories. I also love that they do alterations in house. Will come back to share pics after I get married in 2027 if I remember!

We booked an appointment 4 or 5 days ahead of time, as there was full availability on the calendar for weekdays. There is a 48 hour cancellation window, and at hour 47 we realized that the timing conflicted slightly with a work matter (when we made the appointment we were in New York and miscalculated the time difference). An email was sent at the 47th hour (1 hour after the window), mentioning the issue and asking if it could still be canceled since it was so close to the window, and apologizing for missing the window. The owner replied and specifically said "No problem, we've gone ahead and canceled the appointment for you". At this point, we figured all was well as they made no mention of still charging the fee. A few weeks later, we noticed the charge was still there. A quick email reply came when we inquired saying it was past their window and no refund was due. IF this was the case, why did the original email not say so and why did they make 0 effort to reschedule or ask if another time worked better? OR we could have made it work if she hadn't responded so positively. What a slimy way to make a quick $27 for nothing. I will restate that the calendar was still really really open (ie, it was not a highly sough after appointment slot taken from anyone else even on the off chance they were booking in the 2-4 days out window). Overall, it is a blessing the appointment didn't happen after reading some of these reviews about how the owner acts in person (no surprise there). Ended up with a beautiful dress from Berta and would highly recommend their new LA showroom on Beverly.

They are…read moreexcellent at keeping their online shop updated for what they have in-store with pictures and sizes of the gowns. Their selection of designers is truly amazing. I can't speak to their online portion of the business, with the shipping and try-on-at-home or the selling process, but I can absolutely recommend that if you're looking to buy a wedding dress in SoCal, it's worth it to visit this place in person! It was just me and my mom (someone whose opinion I value but who also trusts that I can make my own decisions), but I think they allow up to four people to come with you. (Choose wisely lol). They also have great tips on their site, and the ones I felt were super helpful were 1- go to a regular bridal salon first to get a feel for the things you like and don't like, 2- size up one or two sizes from what your street clothes normally are, 3- preview their selection online and come prepared if there's something you specifically want to try on. They also send you a questionnaire when you book the appointment asking how you want to feel in your wedding dress on the day of -- which was a really useful question to answer, just for myself lol but I'm sure it helps them pick out some options that might align! Desiree was amazing!! She immediately understood my vision. She was an incredible resource for all of my nerdy material questions, and my questions about the consignment process, what would and wouldn't be possible in alterations, travel tips for transporting the dress, storing the dress, post-ceremony cleaning, etc. It's also bananas how much she knew about the history of some of my dress picks re: the original bride's alterations, off the top of her head! (Or maybe it's written down in their system haha that's probably more likely, but if it was from memory, freakin' kudos!). Apparently, Desiree had worked at the designer of one of my top pick dresses so she also had the lowdown of the business from that perspective as well! I also didn't feel pressured at all, which was so important for me--not just for wedding dress shopping but for all of the choices we've been making for the wedding. It's a small thing, but something I greatly appreciated. The absolute most useful advice Desiree had was about the alterations process and even pricing. She made the caveat that different people would have a range of prices, but for what I was looking for, she would be shocked if I had to pay over X amount. I went to five different alteration places to get quotes, and three of them quoted me pretty much the exact number Desiree had suggested, and two of them tried to upsell me on things I didn't need and charge me three times as much! Obviously, I went with one of the seamstresses that quoted me that starting price, and I was so grateful that Desiree knew her stuff because my people-pleaser self might have just accepted the pricier alterations place without questioning it. I found the gown of my dreams at Loved Twice Bridal, from my top pick designer (Galia Lahav!) at significantly off the retail/custom order price. I received excellent service from an extremely knowledgeable resource. And I made a choice that aligned with my sustainable values. I'm so, so happy with how it all worked out! I just picked it up after alterations (Connie Tao Designs in Pasadena) and I cannot wait to wear this dress on my wedding day! Obviously, my choice of husband is the best choice I've made for my wedding haha, but choosing the dress I did, from this shop - it was a pretty darn good choice for me. Best of luck in your search!!

Literal PTSD from this unnecessary nightmare of a woman…read more. Let me start by saying if she took credit cards like anormal business and not strictly Zelle and Venmo (ok sketchy) perhaps this might be a better review.. We had to cancel a dress appoint with 2 days notice after an injury to my fiancées grandma, and she said "no problem, family first" and another appointment was made for two weeks later. Then.. a week later she's blowing up our phone to pay the full amount ($750) BEFORE we pickup the wedding dress. We didn't feel comfortable paying the full amount without seeing the dress was done correctly first. But the woman Marie didn't want to hear that. (This women is so ADHD and has extreme problems with parts of conversation that don't involve her being the one talking.) The best way I could describe this conversation was like having a debate with Donald Trump. She never stops talking and she just round and round in circles endlessly and gets mad at you for trying to speak. She was demanding that we "send her a deposit" and we asked multiple times "how much are you asking for??". First and second time we asked she just kept talking about "how nice she is". Third time we asked she said "whatever you want, anything" ..like what..? So we asked again trying to get clarification and she said "whatever, like how about half!" This is why people make contracts so you don't have to do exactly this.. She kept falsely claiming there was any kind of contract, but when I pressed her about what the contract said she got irate and said "you agreed to $750 due", which yes of course we agreed to pay $750, but attached is what she was calling the "contract". There was no signature, nothing about payment dates, nothing about deposits, strictly "$750 due". Then she said she didn't "appreciate our energy" and "didn't like being bullied" from asking her about where it says anything about a deposit and why she couldn't understand why we wouldn't want to pay before we know it was sized correctly. Then.. she got extremely irate and said she "didn't need our business" and she "could have another girl take your place by tomorrow" and then she said she'd cancel our appointment and **"good luck getting your dress back"** and "I'll have my husband and the police waiting for you", like what..? and then she put her husband on the speakerphone and said "my husband is here but he hasn't said anything.." (probably because also like Trump it's hard for her to ever stop talking so how is anyone supposed to get a word in) Then my fiancée started just bursting out crying cuz who needs this kind of unnecessary stress..? So I ended up apologizing to this New Jersey mob wife woman for nothing but trying to ask about these deposits out of nowhere just so this , and we could get our $5000 wedding dress back because my fiancée was worried she was so unhinged that she might cut up or destroy her dress.. After we calmed her down and she kept saying the same things she had said 40 times around and around again about how nice she was to have cancelled the first appointment, and how she had he business since 1998 and didn't need our business but then right after that said "I need this money to keep the doors open you know how it is" like okay it's one or the other not both Marie Trump We had to whiteknuckle it from Sunday night when this happened until the appointment Friday.. but this was absolutely the worst business experience we've ever had.. Like most extremely ADHD persons: Fine marks as a seamstress Low marks as an organized business person
