Our makeup artist canceled the morning of my sister's wedding, and despite their team scrambling, no replacement could be found in time. My sister, the bride, was in tears hours before her ceremony. Several of us lost part of the morning trying to solve it instead of finishing wedding prep. We were only saved by a friend who happened to be nearby. When I pushed back afterward, the CEO responded personally, explained the timeline, and issued a full refund plus a credit. I'll give them that -- the response was better than most companies manage. But none of that changes what the morning of the wedding actually looked like, and none of it changes that their website promises coverage they cannot always deliver. If you're booking them for a wedding or any event you can't reschedule, ask directly what happens if your artist cancels same-day, in writing, before you pay a deposit. Don't assume the guarantee on their site means what it says. I want to correct the public record here. In response to my review, the owner stated that I "didn't respond" to their email, which is why she posted the CEO's full response publicly. That isn't accurate. I replied to that email on 9/22 at 2:53 PM Eastern, the same day I received it. I'm noting the exact time so there's no ambiguity about what happened. On the original issue: our makeup artist canceled the morning of my sister's wedding with limited notice, and despite the team's efforts, no replacement could reach us in time. My sister, the bride, was in tears hours before her ceremony, and several of us lost part of the morning scrambling instead of finishing wedding prep. The company did refund the service in full and extended two service credits, along with a personal apology from the CEO, and I want to be fair and acknowledge that. But their website advertises a "backup guarantee" and "national coverage with backup options" without disclosing that a same-day emergency can fall outside what that guarantee can actually deliver. If you're booking for a wedding or any event you can't reschedule, ask in writing what their same-day contingency plan looks like before you pay a deposit.

I was told I had to put down a 50% deposit and if I needed to cancel I need to give a minimum of 24 hours or I'd loose my deposit. Of course, being in managment, I was called in at the last minute to work. At 1st I said to myself "Welp, there goes $40!" Then I said well let me call and try to work something out since I'm a 1st time client, maybe reschedule since I want them done it's just work comes before lashes. I called and they said they'd re-schedule but I'd loose my deposit and expected me to put another deposit down. I gracefully declined and took that $40 as a loss for me and the only gain for them. (Dm me here or on Yelp for a recommendation for a wonderful lash tech!!!) Let me start this off by saying that I have had my lash extensions done professionally for 8 years. There are lash extensions that can look full, amazing, natural, wispy, and also can be done on you very comfortably... and then there are lash extensions that can be very uncomfortable, eyes burning during application, too much glue used, glued too close to your skin, too blocky, thick, and fake looking! Sometimes it's hard to see in pictures, but you can definitely tell the difference in real life. I'm sure you've seen those really heavy, blocky, obviously fake, dark thick lash extensions and you think to yourself oh wow, I would never wanna look like that. Well, that is how this place does their lashes. The artists are some of the worst I've seen between California and Vegas. I'm sure the reviews are bought and paid, or probably from people who just don't know any better and think this is as good as it gets. I'm guessing they try to delete bad reviews too because I've spoken to multiple people unhappy with this studio since my experiences!!!! I want other women to save their time and money by avoiding it here. I first had an appointment with a new artist who was less experienced than the others. I think they call them junior artists or something like that. She was very sweet and she did her best. But her hands were sweating the whole time and my lashes were too small, sparse, and felt crunchy at the end of the appointment.. It was clear to me that she was inexperienced. The lashes were coming out a couple days after the appointment. I contacted the studio again and informed them what happened with this first set. They offer me to go with a stylist named Aliyah, who they said is their top senior artist and always makes everyone happy/everyone always loves her work. So I said great. Let's give it a shot. The work done by Aliyah was so aggressively glued to my natural lashes and so heavy for the natural lashes that the set was so uncomfortable from the moment she started doing them all the way through to when I couldn't take it anymore and had to take them off (about a week later) My eyes were literally burning throughout the entire appointment and she just kept shushing me like a baby and wouldn't give me a fan to fan them until I asked multiple times. When the appointment was over, my eye was incredibly red, see the photo attached. This is not normal!!! and must be because of either the insane amount of glue that she was using or the fact that she doesn't use tape properly for the eyes or maybe the fact that she just glues the lashes way too close to the skin. Either way, this is not a style or preference issue, this is just flat out bad training and application. Then, at the end of the appointment, the red haired receptionist was pacing upset and rushing. I told her that I realized she was huffing and puffing and that I'll be out the door as soon as I look over my lashes and make sure I'm happy with them. She told me she was stressed out because her mom was picking her up from work. This was extremely unprofessional as I had just spent over $300 including gratuities for two sets that were not what I wanted. The owners only took off $30 from the first set btw. You want to be happy at the end of a 2 to 2 1/2 hour long appointment because of course you wanna be happy with the work and think that you just spent good time and money, so you may want to be polite like I was and say that "the sets were good/yes I'm happy" but in reality they're just really not and this is not the kind of place that is highly trained for lashes. I have found an amazing Borboleta trained artist who I am more than happy to recommend anyone who wants to send me a private message! If you can't send a private message through Google, you can find the same review on yelp and message me there and I will absolutely give you the information of the person I found who is highly trained. The lashes look amazing, naturally full and fluffy, and she applies them in a way that is so comfortable. Save your time and money and avoid Mallyna.
