I have no complaints about the fence. They finished everything in one day. With that said, I am deducting a star because the crew tripped my breaker box. They plugged in a battery (Milwaukee? It was red. See photo) to the outlet I had a licensed contractor install to a recent closet extension in my backyard. I'm not sure how they even found that outlet as it's not close to the shared fence and is hidden by the A/C unit. I'm also not sure why they were that deep in my backyard when they were just supposed to be working on installing the new fence. If they had simply asked for permission to plug in the battery, this wouldn't have been an issue. I saw the battery charging as I was checking on the progress of the fence throughout the morning and thought nothing of it. It wasn't until that evening where I noticed that all the outlets in the back room didn't work that I started questioning the reason for the outage. After racking my brain and attempting to reset the breaker box, it dawned on me that it was because one of the workers was charging their battery. I don't know the voltage of the battery that they were charging, but it was too much for that outlet. They should've just used an outlet from my neighbor.

First off... I never qive bad reviews. I rarely give any reviews at all so for me to be typing…read morethis says a lot right here. Today I had my fence re-built by another fencing contractor only 4 years after Sevilla's Fencing first installed it. The fence just fell apart and disintigrated. The problems are numerous, first off they used poor quality materials. The wood was green and it shrunk over time. Next they didn't use enough boards for the job. There were gaps between the boards and the boards were stapled end to end so over time as they shrunk they finall just fell out. Today the other contractor informed me that they also didn't secure the base board and they only used about a 1/3 of the nails/screws they should have, and to top it off, they used the WRONG (smaller) screws! The fence is also crooked, but that pales in comparison to the rest of the issues. My neighbor who I share this fence informed me that she actually contacted Sevilla's a year or so back to complain and see if they would stand behind their work , but she was told by them that this was normal wear and tear and they wouldn't fix it. I am writing this as a warning to anyone who may also be looking at Sevilla's that they may want to get a few more quotes.

Trex, however, does have specific foundation requirements that support the boards and we needed our foundation updated. We met with 3 companies all of whom had good reviews/referrals. We chose California Fence primarily because of Bill. This may sound silly but part of the reason is because when he come over to meet with us and provide a quote, he was covered with dirt and sawdust, which reinforced what he was telling us - He is on the job working with his crew all day unless running out to do a quote. He listened to our needs and gave us experienced feedback. We had a medium sized tree which needed removing and killing, which he also did, and he needed to work around a gas line to our fire pit. We liked his attention to detail and his straight to the point matter. After answering our questions he immediately brought out his tape measure, little book and pencil and worked out a quote. His crew is composed of his family and a couple of family friends that have been working with Bill for years. They were all very friendly and respectful and seemed to share Bill's attention to detail. Bill and crew were always available to us and responsive to any questions we may have had. We were impressed with the quality of their work. When they were done we had a beautiful new Trex deck and the area was nicely cleaned up.
