Seating space for about 40/50 people in the ground floor and probably the same downstairs. Beers in display, screens with the beer menu, nice staff. I organized here an aperitivo with other Yelpers so we could speak in English. There was a bit of a misunderstanding since that night the Pub had also an English aperitivo with a teacher and activities in the downstairs space and they thought our reservation was to participate in that one. Luckily, they found us some space upstairs (after some waiting) and we were comfortably seated. What I didn't like was the few food that was brought to us as "aperitivo food", I was not expecting a typical Milanese buffet, but something other than popcorn would have been appreciated. They have dinner options but I didn't get to see the menu. 2 people in our party ordered some food and it looked good (not very English-pub portions, though). Also, I would have appreciated a printed menu with the beers they had, sure the nice waitress did her best to help us pick one based on our preferences but I would have liked to read more about the beer before ordering it. I had a cider (didn't like its taste) and a nice Sierra Nevada, suggested by Yelper Raquel. Prices are high, even if you consider the beer quality, it's central Milan, blah, blah, blah - there's always an excuse not to keep reasonable prices. Anyhow, the atmosphere was OK and our evening was nice (loved meeting and getting to speak with everyone in our party), unfortunately I was expecting more from the place. I might come back, perhaps for one of the many events they organize: live music, comedy shows, etc.

Great bar with amazing selection of beers!…read more I think this is not a typical Milano bar setting, I think this is quite a unique bar. We found it great! They take beer serious in this place! All people sit, there is no standing at the bar so the place was almost full when we found a place. Most chairs are along long tables and this creates a nice atmosphere. This place is were friends meet and discuss, couples sit and talk..... and everybody drinks beer. There are literaly hundreds of beers available. Chalkboards are filled with more or less exotic brands and names and the beer tap has around twenty draught beers which are brewn by the BQ microbrewery. We tried only a few of the different brews and we really liked them. Just try one or two and let the enthousiastic bartender explain some typical differences, like all the different herbs they use. The only thing we did not really like was the smell of the rather fatty food they serve, like fries and burgers.

Luckily BQ exists and they proved me to be very wrong. It would be an understatement to say they have a very good selection of craft beers. These brews are so darn good and well balanced that they give Belgian and German beers a run for their money. If you're in town and want to sip on something different than wine, swing by BQ. The only downside is that the place is quite small, but that wouldn't stop me from going back if ever in Milan again. Wish these guys would open up a place in NYC.
