Busy and pretty hectic airport. Quite crowded and difficult to navigate. The customer service was abrupt and unhelpful.

Spartan doesn't describe this terminal. It is in need of a massive update and remodeling. Eating options are sparse, ie fast food.

To enter the building they were checking boarding passes which caused many people to wait outside in the cold. Since there was no formal line, a few people were able to cut in which made the wait feel a bit unorganized. Airport security is a little more strict compared to the US. You have to take your laptop out of your bag, place all liquids in a separate bag and remove your shoes if they are thick such as boots. Once through security, the experience improves significantly. The terminals are very clean, including the restrooms. The seating areas are spacious and there are plenty of restaurants, duty free shops, vending machines and money exchange counters throughout the airport. It is easy to find what you need and the overall layout feels open and well maintained. Overall, it is a nice airport and a comfortable place to wait for your flight once you get past the initial entry process.

Convenient airport with free wifi, lots of food places and access to the metro from within. However…read moreit is HUGE. Prepare to walk and come with enough time to make your flight. [Note for entering the aiport: from any side, metro or driving, youcwill need to show a boarding pass. I came from the metro on a Wedsnesday at 10am and the entry line was only about 20 people and the attendant allowed one person to come in with me. The outside line if you drive seems a lot more confusing and long] If arriving from T4, the metro is just a skip away. For T1-3 its a good 15 min walk to check in and another 5min to TSA if you walk at a good upbeat pace. [FYI on Dec 2025 you still have to take out liquids with the 3 oz rule, and remove your shoes.] Once you're through security, there are lots of places to eat and shop but be mindful of which gate you're departing from. My gate was A9 and after security it was an additional 15ish minutes. There were no proper signs once you got to A8 indicating where A9 was until i walked towards the restaurants and notice a flight of stairs going down with a sign reading A9-16. Once you're downstairs, there are no restaurants or shops and it gets chillier. You will have to take a bus to board so make sure youre not counting on sprinting through the gate at the last minute. There are also very limited seats. I was there 2 hours prior to boarding and got a seat, but an hour after there were no seats left. Wifi is free but limited plugs. I only took off 2 stars because the employees are neither friendly nor knowledgeable so beware of their directions. Whatever you do, do not come off strong or you will get NOWEHERE. I saw a couple get slightly frustrated and that only got them in a bigger problem. I also took out stars for lack of visible signage.
