The sourdough bread was light and great for sandwiches. I have yet to try the brownies and lemon bars. I will though the next time i am home. i highly recommend.

Love this bakery and for the quality you get, it's completely worth the price. Nothing tastes like…read morethey skimped on ingredients or used any substitutes for the real thing. This branch is in a really convenient location and is maintained well. The people who work here are also super nice! I bought my birthday cake (the Purple Carousel chocolate cake) here, and they gave me an extra bag of sweets! My favorites are their: *Lemon bars - really great lemon flavor and have a tart, refreshing sweetness *Chocolate revel bars - probably the best I've had *Chocolate Campfire cake - very rich, but in this amazing way where you don't get tired of eating it! I've also had their: *Purple Carousel chocolate cake - classic chocolate cake with these chocolate wafers on top *Mini Pecan Pie - not the consistency I prefer in a pecan pie but the flavor was still very good *Mini Chocnut Pie - light, could use a stronger chocnut flavor, I really liked the crust though *Cookies - I love cookies so I usually get 1 or 2 with whatever else I'm buying that day, theirs are crispy on the edges and chewy on the inside *Quiche Tinapa - Liked this a lot and just ate mine chilled, but I think it would be better to warm it a little at home

One of my favorite snacks is pandesal. Whether they're from the groceries or the bakeries, you can…read moreexpect me to devour them right away. I like the ones from the bakeries more though, because then they'll be fresh and hot. I eat them by either nibbling on them straight away or by dipping them in hot coffee. I consider pandesal to be great when I don't need to put any type of spread on it, when it's flavorful and tasty on its own. That's the kind of pandesal I get at Balai Pandesal!! They're great on their own, a little sweet, and dense yet soft. They have the normal-sized pandesal, but they also have "Pandesalitas." I like these more because they're soooo cute!!! They're smaller than half of my palm, but that doesn't mean they're any less delicious! Another thing that I like about Balai Pandesal is that they often have promos! So you can get more of what you want!!

Balai Pandesal is such a surprise to me because I don't really expect much from pandesal, and I think i'm not the only one. We've just been so used to regular ol' pandesal that I never thought pandesal could be more? Boy, Balai Pandesal's pandesal is something else. I went in just to buy pandesal, and I come out having discovered something exciting. It's just delicious, and that's something I never thought I would say about pandesal. It has a lot of flavor, even with no palaman and all. It has that sweetness to it that isn't overwhelming, and it's creamy. The bread is dense but soft, which is again, a surprise for me. It's definitely my favorite pandesal, perhaps of all time.

My favourite Mom & Tina's branch!…read more I don't know how it came to be but my family and I have developed this tradition of having a small family reunion at Mom & Tina's each year. It's weird because no one talks about it but yes, you can find us there all together once a year. Though I do visit this branch more often than once a year since I like how the place looks (like a doll house) both on the inside and outside. I think this place can accommodate slightly more people than the other branches but I could be wrong. I love their desserts and their baked goodies specially their Bacon empanada. Yes, please! The winning dish for me here is their Paella and their roast beef. But more often than not, I get their breakfast options since I am a breakfast person. Definitely worth a try! How's your Mom & Tina's experience?

I used to frequent their branch along C5 since it used to be on the way to my school. My usual order was their Shepherd's Pie. Nothing special really, but it was just the simple taste of a home cooked meal that made me love it. Yesterday, I decided to order something different. Having been away from home for a few weeks, my taste buds were craving for something Pinoy. They now have an All Day Breakfast menu which includes my favorite Filipino Breakfast, beef tapa. I honestly wasn't expecting much, nor was I expecting service to be so quick, but when I first laid my eyes on the plate, I knew it had to be good! Now, for tapa, I like to make sure that I've got all aspects in my spoon. First the garlic rice, then a part of the egg, then some tapa dipped in vinegar, and to top it all off... Atchara! And that first bite? Maaaaan. That first bite. It was heaven. I fell in love. It was like a beef tapa bacon. Tasty, salty and crunchy. It was so good that whenever my boyfriend would ask for a bite, I would let him get a spoonful with a heavy heart. I absolutely did not want to share my food! Mom & Tina's definitely became part of my Best Tapas in town list!

All of the baked items are individually wrapped to keep them fresh. They also have a varied selection of espresso drinks. I got the Caramel Macchiato, it was delicious but a bit too sweet for me. It was made well though and the sweetness level is just a matter of personal preference. They have a lunch/dinner menu of Japanese noodle dishes. The noodles resemble gnocchi and have tomato based sauces. I didn't get a chance to try any of these dishes but I'm looking forward to trying them next time.

As a medical student, heading to a new coffeeshop or cafe is the perfect way to jumpstart productivity and combat the stir craziness associated with being hunched over the same desk, every. single. day. Filipinos, however, are a social people. We love talking and catching up over a cup of coffee and some pastries. That can lead to some coffeeshops being noisier than others, and not necessarily being a beacon of productivity. Mr. Park's is perfect for studying! The location isn't in Robinsons Magnolia, but rather is in the arcade of stores beneath The Magnolia Residences facing the green area of the mall, making it both accessible but also secluded. Perfect for uninterrupted time to focus, or a place to get away from the bustle of the mall. The ambiance is really good too. Great, bright lighting and spacious tables make getting work done super easy. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating! Food isn't bad either. I normally get their Americano (P80), and for the price, it's huge! The ice cubes made of coffee they include are also a great touch, and make it an even better value for a quick caffeine fix. Pastries are the name of the game here. I am personally a fan of their croquettes, egg tarts, and cream puffs. I'd pass on the scones, though. They were too dry and flavorless for me. They also offer bingsu. I've had some of a friend's and it tasted pretty good, with the ingredients looking fairly fresh. They're also a lot cheaper than the baked goods that you would find at Starbucks of Coffeebean. Oh, and they're open 24 hours a day!! It's amazing. I love this place. I can study until the sun comes up here.
