Went here for a relatively cheap lunch with my Grampa one afternoon. Nice quirky atmosphere that is great for photos. I enjoyed my bangus sisig and lumpiang gulay. Their turon with ice cream was good too. We took lots of photos after eating that we forgot to bring home pandesal lol next time!

This branch is in a really convenient location and is maintained well. The people who work here are also super nice! I bought my birthday cake (the Purple Carousel chocolate cake) here, and they gave me an extra bag of sweets! My favorites are their: *Lemon bars - really great lemon flavor and have a tart, refreshing sweetness *Chocolate revel bars - probably the best I've had *Chocolate Campfire cake - very rich, but in this amazing way where you don't get tired of eating it! I've also had their: *Purple Carousel chocolate cake - classic chocolate cake with these chocolate wafers on top *Mini Pecan Pie - not the consistency I prefer in a pecan pie but the flavor was still very good *Mini Chocnut Pie - light, could use a stronger chocnut flavor, I really liked the crust though *Cookies - I love cookies so I usually get 1 or 2 with whatever else I'm buying that day, theirs are crispy on the edges and chewy on the inside *Quiche Tinapa - Liked this a lot and just ate mine chilled, but I think it would be better to warm it a little at home

If not, oh man, I guess you've just been missing out on half of your life until this moment. I'm an absolute sweet tooth... I could be throwing up because I overate but leave room for dessert anyway. Having said that, I know what I'm talking about when it comes to good cakes because I've tried so many of them. Camille Ocampo's The Pastry Cart is a business that is pure genius. More than being a business, it's all about good dessert. The San Marcos is also known as the creme brûlée cake. Text Camille for an order and for the complete list of her offerings. Sugar-free San Marcos is also available.

Numerous posts of their Crème Brulee cake has scattered online especially in foodie social media accounts. Ms. Camille Ocampo is the brainchild of this heavenly invention and you can place your order anytime and pick it up in their Valle Verde branch. Originally called the San Marcos cake that has evolved to Crème Brulee cake, it is just how you imagine a Crème Brulee getting an oversized treatment. Soft and moist chiffon cake topped with caramelized sugar is just perfect. It comes in a big box similar to Tiffany and Co's color scheme called Tiffany Blue so it's definitely a stand out. For the price of 900 pesos, this cake is worth every calorie.

I still remember Becky's from their Malate/Manila branch. After 20 something years, i visit one of…read moretheir branches and fall in love with the taste, ambiance, etc. The cafe has this old Filipino feel with Batibot cafeteria (wrought iron + wood) chairs and dark wooden accents. They have green plants on each table as a centerpiece. Currently, they have the cafe decked out in christmas decor of wreaths with glittery bright blue, purple and gold. The gift boxes come in a bright red color, very festive! They sort of highlight the store too since they are stacked in shelves behind the refrigerated cases. I convince my husband to spend a few mins to have a slice of cake and coffee. It only takes a few minutes to gobble up the cakes, im sure! I had the swiss chocolate cake that has the creamy meringue outside its chocolate sponge cake and honeycomb bits inside. Heaven! I swiped one of the two crinkles on my husband's plate. It was decadent! If you've never had chocolate crinkles before, you're missing out. Plus, I've been around and these are gold standard crinkles right here. The box of 24 is only 300 pesos! WORTH IT! We decided to get a box of 24 to eat later at home As I write this review, I just got home after two hours of driving. I have already polished 5/24 pcs. It had been left in the car for 5 hours before we actually headed home but it is amazingly soft and tastes freshly baked. I can't praise this bakery anymore than humanly possible. Just try it! The other branches might be closed but this one inside Valle Verde 1 village is still alive. On regular days they have plenty of lot parking in front of the basketball court.

In fact, it's still my mom's go to potluck contribution to any party or last minute Christmas gift to friends, as well as their addicting Chocolate Crinkles. If she ever comes home with any of them as a treat, I immediately zone in on the signature maroon box from Becky's and strategize the quickest way to get my hands on it then get to a safe place in the house where I wouldn't have to share. I'm happy they opened the branch in Valle Verde a while back because it's much nearer to where I live. What's more is that there's an actual dining area where you can have coffee and a slice of cake as opposed to their original branch in Taft with just the display cases, counter and some seating for waiting customers. If you have a chance to visit either location, I recommend their soft and flavorful Cheese Rolls and decadent Swiss Chocolate Cake in addition to their famous brownies and crinkles!

As we peeked thru the glass display, we saw blueberry jamboree bar and salted caramel tres leches. I melted from the first bite of blueberry jamboree bar, it had a thick layer of smooth flat cream, a layer of pecan crumbly pie at the bottom with juicy blueberries on top! Every layer had the perfect balance to the palate. We next opened the lid for salted caramel tres leches, it had a round sponge cake topped with whipped cream, drizzled with caramel syrup, soaked in evaporated milk like consistency. It had a pinch of salt that enhanced the dessert's flavor. Overall, it was a delightful experience!

But since I've never been to the original one in NYC, I gotta check it out. Expect cuteness galore: the store is done in all pastel colors, staff wear dainty uniforms, there's even darling cake accessories and candles for sale at the counter. I gifted my friend several cupcakes and got one for myself. Red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing, vanilla with vanilla buttercream, PB & J cupcake, and a standard carrot cupcake. She was happy with my gifts and was sure it wouldn't last until the next day ;-) I like that their plain vanilla is really well made and not boring at all. The only thing I'm sad about is the NYC pricing has also landed in Manila. Expect to pay between P145 to P165 per cupcake.
