It's a great place to go after over a year. The place is…read moregood, the atmosphere is good, the service is good. But the question is... How's the food? We ordered a tomato sauce huge meatballs, seafood linguini & all dressed pizza. They are okay, nothing really surprising, I mean I didn't order any specialties to begin with, right? I find the meat balls are a bit too salty, the tomato sauce doesn't balance it out. Seafood linguini was also a bit salty, it's literally the same sauce with a pinch of sour taste. Pizza, its a super thin pizza, I would prefer to have a little bit more cheese but that's my taste I originally thought they use wooded oven but sadly it is not, so it's really missing the Smokey flavour. Generally speaking, the experience is nice, the waitress took care of us and I see they constantly wiping the area to ensure sanity and cleanness. The price is a bit high for the type of food and the quality. But hey, let's support locals!

The pizza was very tasty. Pepperoni/Mushrooms. Well done & cooked correctly. The serving staff was a little off. Particularly the follow up. He came over with the cheese & pepper about 1/2 way through the meal. Restaurant was clean & modern & the bathrooms were particularly clear & well looked after. I'll never get here again but I'd go here if I were.

I always like to try these small restaurants when I go to Montréal…read more So when I saw DaFrank, I stopped there the day after and ordered a submarine to go. It's real nice when you eat food from a restaurant that's not a chaining subway. The #6 sub was excellent with lots of pepperoni and steak and everything in good quantity. I enjoy I so if you passed in the south west don't hesitate to stop at DaFrank !

I had walked by DA Frank many times but never popped in and I'm so happy I finally did. While I don't think I got the whole experience with the place currently take-out only, the short time I was there was delightful. The cashier/waitress was lovely and in the span of about fifteen minutes I heard her chat it up seamlessly in English, French and Italian with patrons in person and on-the-phone. It was easy to tell that this is an important neighbourhood place where people come for more than the food. Speaking to the food, my club sandwich was perfect. I had the option of dark and/or white meat and the whole thing was assembled in its classic brilliance, with the mayo on the side, of course. The french fries were of the soggier variety (think traditional Queb poutine fries) and were excessive, naturally. It seems like a lot of the people coming by were regulars and were ordering the special of the day, which I assume was equally generous and delicious. My one small gripe with the place is that although they were very COVID-compliant and clean, they're still cash-only. Like, I get it, but it's 2020: it may be time to upgrade to a debit machine, in my humble opinion.
