A ready great place to watch dogs play! Since I don't own a dog I can just enjoy them here. Many of the dogs love posing for photos!

My first time in this park and it really makes me feel like Im in an animation 'The secret life of Pets' it's small-medium size of dog run and so many dogs play with another. Look like my puppy has a nice party:) people are polite and take serious responsibility. Kids are always supervised by an adult. Only a little bit of some part of the dog run is wet and dirty by broken rubber tube from the garden.

This park is located right in front of the flat iron building which is a great location. The park itself has lots of trees for shade yet enough natural sunlight. There are also lots of benches to sit and watch your pup play. One of the best parts about this park is the outside shake shack. You can grab a burger and then watch your dog play. The park is gravel and pebble so you don't have to worry about ticks or stepping in poop. The only con is no separation between big and small dogs. The big dogs are running circles around all the puppies, but other than that I highly recommend this park.

One of the better dog runs I have found so far in NYC. Things it has going for it: - Has water for dogs, but you have to bring water during late fall, winter and early spring since park shuts water off - Plenty of room for dogs - Seating for dog owners - Plenty of shade - Has both a separate large & small dog area - Smooth gravel used as ground cover Things it has against it: - Could be a little bigger - No bathrooms near run for humans - Parking (Its the same as all other dog runs in Manhattan for the most part) I have been to this park a few times, would probably go more often if I lived closer. The times I have gone the group of owners and dogs were friendly. Owners were attentive to what their dogs were doing and for the most part the run was free of piles of poop. One of the better dog runs in NYC, it would score higher if it were a little bigger & poop bags provided. My favorite park. Love it! Pros - Supplies poop baggies Size small dog area Located in Madison square park Always a good size crowd Benches and umbrellas Cons As many have said after rain the smell is pretty high Not the fault of the park - owners who don't pay attention to their pet

Good dog run . They have bags to pick up your dogs poop and a bowl for dogs to drink in. Sometimes the big dogs like to step on the bowl I'm guessing to cool off? The ground has small pebbles and dirt which is a downer because when it rains there's a puddle of mud and dogs like to run on it and when they run and get on top of you , you get dirty. People prefer the section for big dogs because of the bigger size area. The seatings have dirt on them ,if you don't mind getting your pants dirty than you shouldn't worry and if you do bring a bag to sit on.

Pros: Most dogs who come here are pretty nice. Plenty of areas to sit and watch your dog. Outside the dog run there are paths to walk your dog through the nice shaded park. Cons: It's gravel instead of grass, so my dogs don't run around like they usually would. They just kinda walk around and sniff butts. It usually smells pretty bad.

We were on our 4th game of 5 on 5 on this slanted, slippery court with double rims as the Midtown skyline looked over us. We had gone 3-0 and already on wobbly legs but wanted one more to really push ourselves to exhaustion and be WHOOPED. A group of 5 17 year olds showed up and I was lowkey like damn I don't wanna play these little kids for our last game but whatever, they got next. We were going back and forth, and to be fair they were actually pretty good but just too frail to give us any problems. At 5'10 174 lbs, I'm a BIG guard. I'm left handed, but shot a right handed floater fading to my right as I'm trying to get better. If you can hit a weak hand floater on the run you will be tough to stop. I bricked it and this little 17 year old kid goes "that's a TERRIBLE shot" looking at me dead in the eyes. Like bro y'all are losing and you suck why you talking? He woke me up and I started actually trying really hard and lowkey busting their ass... but tbh normally I'm not even that good. It was just one of those days where everything was falling. I hit a 3 and yelled out "THAT'S A LAYUP." I drove hard left, euro stepped and hit a tough finish through 2 and yelled "I"M TOO BIG," while flexing. I switched onto little homie and he took a terrible stepback shot after I turned him 3 times and bricked it. I just whispered to him "I don't even gotta say nothing after that one it speaks for itself" which really pissed him off. Then I hit the game winning 3 and did the Dame wave to him as he walked off the court PISSED as hell. I sat down and then he got the courage to say "STOP TALKING SO MUCH" while he put his hand together to mimic me YAPPING. I almost stood up and said "HOW BOUT U GET WIN?" But then I realized I'm a grown ass man and there is absolutely no reason to be jawing at this little kid on a beautiful Friday in New York City. I just kind of laughed at myself and asked what is wrong with me lol. All in all, these runs were kind of weak and this court is in horrendous condition. The court on the westside highway is still my favorite in the city. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

It's pretty hidden since you have to go to the end of 51st street and then walk down some steps. There's plenty of poop bags (looks like plastic bags from the veggie section at your grocery store) and the surface is paved brick. It seems as if they just threw up a fence to split off the dog park from the rest of the park. While I liked the park, I didn't dig the vibe of the folks. Maybe it's because I'm not from the neighborhood, but it seemed as if everyone was just antisocial, and it seemed like all of the dogs were antisocial as well. It seemed like a park where the dogs and owners were more mature. I got dirty looks from the old folks who thought my 6 month old Jack Russell mix was aggressive and they left. Nipping, biting and barking is perfectly normal for dogs. People need to chill out. Dogs like to wrestle and hump. It's worth it to check out if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make a destination out of it.
