This place was highly unsatisfactory, and left us leaving early because we didn't want to be there any longer. To begin with they barely have the same accommodation as most KOAs do. This is by far the worst campground I have ever been at. They raised the rent to 620 dollars per month and this place is a real crap hole. Everything is run down, broke, roads are all uphill. When it rains Everything is mud. They let trash people in that affects your stay because now you have to deal with these drug heads. No amenities unless you ask. It's all about the money with this bottom of the barrel koa. Will never stay here again. It's not even good for a night. Pool is small, pond is gross, wild cats everywhere. No one picks up after their dogs. Donyour self a favor sleep at a Walmart or find a rest area don't waste your time with this terrible place. Ohh it's all about the money, greedy is an understatement. We stayed for a few months waiting on a real campground to call us back. read more

It's been 2018 since our last visit. The place has really gone downhill for my 4th visit. I will give some advice if you HAVE to stay here (Uniontown KOA is 15 minutes further) but PLEASE read to the bottom on why I will NEVER return. Everything here is dated and it looks like they only have an interest in fixing things when they can't avoid it anymore. Other places I've been have been putting in the upgrades left and right since camping has seen a serge these past couple of years. If you HAVE KIDS young enough to have to keep an eye on the kabins facing the pillow ARE PRIME (kids wait for it to blow up every morning), play ground (basic-not toddler friendly, there's a sand pit that's not covered up at night where they HAD some toddler play stuff), and pool (small but does the job, the try to open it ASAP every year and I've never seen it dirty) all the activities are around there as well. If you DONT have kids or have a napper in the family, expect constant noise until quiet time. Get a white noise app or bring a sound machine, the fuzzy reception on the tiny TV you may get with the kabin isn't loud enough. Quiet and shade is on the backside of those Kabins in the pet friendly area. Campstore is sparse, they need to bring it up to date and offer more the have the space to do so. Make sure you grocery shop before pulling in. Camp host family was awesome and usually the lower staff all are. For as long as I've camped there: they never had a functioning gate, car hangers, or escorts to site so don't expect that. Even with the deals I won't be back. It's not worth it. There is nothing new or upgraded and I'm not passing through or here for other things like some are. It's ok for a weekend, don't spend a week here with kids they'll get bored. If you want to be within an hour from Pittsburgh and need some relaxation/recreation there are PLENTY of other camping options. What tipped my scales from PROBABLY won't be back to ABSOLUTELY WONT be back is....when I arrived my cabin was not clean, there was ultra crusty very dried up insect parts (its the woods, but...no one could have wiped that up? It's obvious it's been sitting there awhile) all over the top bunk, a flim/dust on the bed mats. I went to set up the beds and found several coins (from peoples pockets I assume) and an ear pod my toddler could have choked on if I hadn't looked. A cleaning person if they were actually cleaning should have found that. They sent the cleaning lady, she came in with a duster pad and went over our sleeping pads....no cleaners, towels, or shop vac. After she left, I swept the floor and LOTS of dirt came up. I broke out my sani wipes and did everything I could. I didn't appreciate paying $90 a night for a tiny kabin to have to clean before my kids could settle in. Also the door didn't lock, I didn't find this out until late in the second day when I went for 10 rounds of bingo. It appeared (wouldn't fully latch) to be locked over night Friday when we went to sleep. She said I should have told them at check in, she knew exactly the problem I was talking about that maintenance would have come to fix it. But since I was checking out Sunday at noon, there was no sense in calling the office when no one would have came at 7:00 pm anyway. If she knew it wouldn't latch why were we put in that one or why wasn't it fixed before we arrived? Although I've always felt safe there...Non locking door, no security gate, electronic valuables, purse, medications and wife there alone with kids not ideal. Explained that to them, made it out to be no big deal. The people were indignant and acted like I was the problem for reporting it. I was given a dirty kabin. They kept trying to minimize what I was telling them, tried to pass the buck ( the cleaning lady told her only 1 coin, oh...didn't know about the air pod ), and said measures were taken that obviously not. There were no acknowledgement of the issues or even an apology from anyone. If you stay in one of the smaller kabins with a shower, expect to not be able to do more than wet, lather, and rinse and don't shower one after another. Don't do dishes or hand washing brigades right before showering because it goes from lukewarm to cold quick. Also, expect a flood with the inadequate shower curtain and there's no bath mat because they only provide toilet paper and a broom/dustpan. You'll need to use your own towels you mop up the water. This campground DOES NOT live up to KOA image or standards, even for a Journey where you don't expect a whole lot for the bargain price. I called KOA HQ since I did not receive satisfaction (an apology at least) at local level, they created a ticket and I have not heard back yet. I can only hope this triggers an inspection. read more

We are KOA members and have stayed all over the Northeast including Ontario. We enjoyed this KOA a lot. The pool and play area was very clean. The Sunday morning pancake breakfast was nice family time. We used our cabin as a home base for going to Fallingwater and Kennywood. The campground was very quiet at night, which we enjoyed. Staff was very friendly. Our cabin was spotless when we arrived and plenty big for 5 of us--cozy. Good location near I-70. Grocery store is about 4 miles west-full service. We felt good here. read more

We planned on staying 3 nights, only stayed 2 that where required. On one in the office, They left our key outside for anyone to get, after an hour, we saw a thing hanging with our last name on it, was the key, went over, not one chair to set on. Place was dirty, tho they said with covid, they sanitize. floor had candy wrappers. showers where closed, store was closed. could not rent boats to fish. People in and out all night long, like a parade. tried to figure out what to do about the key when leaving, her phone,no answer and full of messages, maintenance said put it under the door, when we got home, she called wondering where the key was. Will never go back, terrible experience. read more

Stayed at a tent site for one night, by far the worst KOA I've ever stayed at. I'm basing this off the HORRIBLE smell that lingers around the campground. It smells like raw sewage. Didn't make for a good nights sleep. read more

When we arrived, no one was in the office to check us in. We had to call someone's cell phone & we were told to find a spot & leave our info in the envelope provided outside the building. The office apparently doesn't open until noon...not a good business practice , in our opinion. No internet, broken down picnic table, park needed mowing. Sad excuse for an RV park that isn't cheap. Only one trash dumpster & it was all the way up by the office. Would not stay here again, surprised that KOA would have a park this shabby. read more

Overall this campground was ok. The site for our RV and trailer was a perfect length considering we are 66ft overall. Beyond the long enough campsite nothing else was great. There is a lot of traffic in this campground which leads me to believe there are a lot of people living here permanently. They had a decent playground and pool. We were notified in advance that the bounce pad was broken which was nice. We walked the campground at night and sadly walked through a huge cloud of marijuana. Not to happy since my kids were there too. I wouldn't really recommended this campsite unless you are desperate. We didn't check out the laundry room or game area so we don't have anything to say about that. All in all this might be the least professional KOA we have been to on our West Coast to East Coast and back trip. read more

Very nice park. Office hard to get in contact with but they said they had a power failure. Laundromat-grade laundry.

Stopped at this KOA for one night, as we were just passing through town. The one positive I can say is it is a convenient stop off of the highway. We stay at KOA's, because we know what to expect and like the high standards they set. NOT the case for this one! It is literally like moving into a trailer park. While walking our dogs around the campground, it appears there are a LOT of long-term residents. Their sites are messy with junk all around and not kept up at all! A lot of their rigs are dirty and in need of repair. One of our "neighbors" did build a nice lean-two to protect all of this motorcycles. Quiet time is until 8:00 a.m. however with all of the "residents" having to leave for their jobs between 5:00 a.m.. and 7:00 a.m. and the noise from their vehicles, sleeping in a bit is not an option. Unfortunately...we will not return to this campground, and I cannot give it a better review, because it is not up to the standards as most other KOA's we stay at. read more
