There's a variety of activities from band, Girl Scouts, basketball, etc. Have fond memories of field day at the end of the school year and taking Dairy Queen trips with my class. On the other hand, the bullying problem at this school had become increasingly worse to the point of transferring with one year left to go (a few others had done the same) and an administrative staff that wanted nothing to do with fixing the problem. Small, cliquish. Even the church itself is this way. My grandpa was a deacon here and after he passed away, the other parishioners were so judgmental towards my grandma that she no longer felt welcome here. My parents got married on this church as did my aunts, and I was baptized here. But, we no longer attend mass here. I visited some of the teachers after several years of being away and they were all so encouraging and it was a completely different environment from what I remember. There are several kids from my class that I still keep in touch with, but merely as acquaintances

This school has been absolutely perfect for our family since he was diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum as being a child with High-Functioning Autism. He is not in a special education classroom and is not on an IEP and does not need to be at this school. The school treats each child as an individual and educates them to their specific needs and abilities. The school has a four-day school week and there is no homework being brought home. My nephew has been allowed to advance at his own level, even up to the next grade level, and does not have the stigma of being treated like he is in special education. All children are on a behavior management program where they are rewarded for good behavior and he is frequently going on field trips. Bullying is treated appropriately and I'm ecstatic to hear my nephew be able to actually say for the first time that he has "friends." He has sensory issues with clothes and is allowed to wear clothes that are comfortable to him. I like this school because my nephew is treated like a capable child and for the first time in his life is enjoying school and really likes his teachers. It's a pleasure to see him come home from school in a good mood and a lot of his behavioral issues at home have greatly decreased since he has been enrolled at this school. I would totally recommend this school to any parent who has a child on the autism spectrum and/or has ADHD/ADD, or has any type of learning disability.

This Title 1 school has students from all sorts of backgrounds -- some are the offspring of professors, doctors, lawyers, and successful business owners -- if that is one end of the spectrum, then the other end is where students come from a dirt poor backgrounds. I think this rich diversity adds to a broader education for your student because s/he can witness where an education can take you; it can bring you all the way to the top if the student chooses to aim high. She was previously a teacher and does a great job at understanding the classroom and listening to the parents. I am sad for the one-star review, as I am not sure the circumstances, and I do know that the change of directors has brought newer and better communication and practices. The teachers have been so kind and wonderful, especially Ms. Jodie, who is just amazing with children. We were very sad to see some great teachers leave due to COVID and having to take care of their own children, but we absolutely understand.

Out of nowhere, Marco (the unofficial security) attempted to say I wasn't allowed to attend. He referenced untrue reasons and attempted to say there was even a restraining order against me. He also attempted to say, "You can't afford it, anyway." To this day, I was never served. There was absolutely no cause for a denial by "Marco." Extremely unprofessional and defaming from a community perspective at the very least.

When she first attended she wasn't potty trained and they didn't have a problem with that at all. There was no extra fee for changing diapers. All we had to do was supply them with her own set of diapers and wipes for the month, and they put her name on them. It was a secure facility. Key cards are required to get in. If you forget your card you must buzz the staff to be let in. The school is at a Jewish Synagogue, but it is a non-denominational school. Several Christian and Hindu children attended, as well as children of other faiths, or children from non-religious families. They require the children to eat a vegetarian lunch and snacks while on campus. I thought this was great! It really helped her to expand her diet, and eat healthier foods. Lastly, it is probably the least expensive preschool/daycare in town but you definitely don't get discount service. They are great! They even welcome special needs children.
