This school has never been great since we started 2 years ago. Now kid 2 started this year. New principal seems like he doesn't care about the safety of students during morning drop off and picking up. There are speeders, poor parking, people lost on how and where to go, leaving their cars unattended and by week 4 you would think things would have been solved. Nope. Communication from school is horrible. Most of the important messages are sent last minute and give parents zero time to prepare. Band also has poor communication and way too many rehearsals and events. The kids stay 12 hours and it's exhausting and frustrating for parents to handle. The organization of the school is poor. They only think of the sports and high academic students. Any with special needs are left behind and just not treated the same. They do the bare minimum to pass them off to the next year in hopes they just graduate and move on. read more

AD apparently can't stand dealing with coaches, problems or parents especially when it comes to female athletes. Huge lack of support for students athletes. Principal simply appears to not care or address problems which makes them worse. Classroom teachers and counselors care. read more

Still the worst admin. The school is full of staff tht is usually very caring. Most of the teachers are reliable and do not harass or punish students over ridiculous things. However, there was an incident with the vide principal, Sandoval, where he attempted to shut down dress code protests by comparing the issue to a school shooting that occurred in a different location of the state at the time. He had the entire junior class sit and be lectured, saying it was disrespectful to protest the sexualization of female students because another school faced a tragic event. He continued to shove ridiculous standards down the student bodies face and acted like he changed the world. In the end, dress code has been removed. However the now principal, Weiyhe had blankly removed a question from an assignment that was related to queer people. Parents and students who complained misread the question, but the stand in principal spent no time re-evaluating the question and instead ordered it to be removed. This school is run by hateful humans who do not care about protecting students from real issues and will instead lose their minds over the wrong things. If you're going to send your freshman here, expect them to face issues with almost everyone. There is a teacher known as Ms, Burns who should not be allowed to run a classroom. Her rules and contracts never seen strict, she even acts like she's down to earth, but will then shame a student for having doctors appointments durning her class, in front of the class. She targets the students with learning disabilities and constantly picks fights with them instead of taking the time to properly aid them in understanding her work. She is incredibly rude, does not allow any time to work with her students and blames the students for being disrespectful when they tell her she's allowing them time or a chance to be heard. Multiple complaints were sent in about Ms. Burns and yet she is still there, failing students she just doesn't like or making the classroom a terrible experience where if you breathe too loud, you'll get yelled at. read more

This review was left in my drafts because I chose to forget about this horrible school but thought you deserve to know. The teachers make no effort to help a struggling kid succeed! The freshman counselor will ignore you and any concerns you have, and never get back to you. If your child has a.d.d, they will be treated different and looked down on, instead of giving them a chance. Your kid will be just another number to this snooty place. No stars deserved... read more

Great school! Better part of town and good activities for students with goals. Not sure students should write reviews... not until their brains are developed enough to comprehend how life works. There are many students and the school is there to help foster success not place it in laps. The first part of that responsibility starts in the home.
