Let me start by saying my son did not attend Annunciation, but was a student of Mrs Susan Deely…read morewhile in San Diego. Mrs Deely is now in a leadership position at this school. God help your school. She left NDA, but not soon enough. The staff and parents were thrilled when she left! But she still had a hand in trying to destroy the lives of some students, by "black balling" them from Cathedral Catholic high school where her husband was principal. He was a stand up guy, but sadly was influenced by her negativity. As a result, the Catholic education for some students ended in 8th grade. Of note, one tactic she used to destroy my son, was when she posted on the overhead projector an email where she gave specifics about his poor performance in school, and of course added her subjective negative comments to the mix. This was in the middle of class for all students to see. Who knows why she did this? This is clearly a violation of the teaching standards. I reported it, but nothing was done. Additionally, she failed to communicate any concerns about his performance to me until May of the school yr. She would not meet with use either. We had to go to the vice principal to address any and all issues. Unprofessional to say the least. My son had to go to the local public school as a result of her vindictive actions. I am sure she left CA thinking he would fail miserably, but just the opposite. He is an amazing young man who thrived. He went on to graduate, spent 4 yrs at a highly sought after west coast university and is living his best life. He enjoys friendships all over the county (and even had 2 recent gf's entered into the Ms America contest this yr). Needless to say, he is not socially awkward like Mrs Deely is. He has it all, the personality, education, focused, career, and surrounded by great people. He will rule the world! He is making a difference in the lives of others. And, no thanks to Susan Deely. My hope is that she has changed and is now able lead a more generous and accepting life that is expected from us Catholics and Catholic educators!

After a bullying problem at one of the other Catholic schools in town, this was a breath of fresh air. Students and staff were very welcoming and was such an easy transition (for an awkward 13 year old girl that is). I learned a lot academically and personally that year. I became better at math and science, and my math teacher (Mrs. Stratmoen) had actually inspired me to pursue math further. A little more expensive than some of the other Catholic schools in town, but well worth it

I can't say enough good things about Eastern Child Development Center! As a mom searching for the…read moreright place for my toddler, I visited a few centers, including Shandiin, Noah's Ark, and Busy Bees Childcare. this one was out of my way and on a side of town I was not looking at because of the location but it had immediate availability and was better that the other choices by far. so, I'll drive the extra 15 min to Gibson. my child's happiness is worth it. First, the place is super clean, and they have a great curriculum in place. But what truly sets them apart is the staff/ teachers. They are warm, kind, and genuinely care about the kids. Unlike other centers where I felt rushed and my child was left crying, here, they took the time to understand my little one's needs. I never felt rushed. Getting to know the teachers is a big deal to me. One big plus, no kids crying during drop-off or pick-up! You can really tell it's a nurturing environment. Plus, it doesn't smell like dirty diapers, which is a nice perk! We're just finishing our second week, and I'm so glad I chose this center. It might be a bit out of my way, but it's the best decision I've made for my child. If you're looking for a CARING and CLEAN center, I highly recommend Eastern Child Development Center!
