As the first reviewer of the establishment I will make sure to try and give the truth and unbiased opinion. This school is ok, nothing more. The student body is very diverse and that is great for the kids further learning and understanding of the world. The sports and clubs offered range from basketball to dungeons and dragons! Other than that, there's not much else to say.
The teachers are ok. Obviously this far west of the mountain you're not going to get the best. The very old school is well cleaned, but that doesn't matter when it took 1+ years to paint over a carved tree filled with swear words and inappropriate phrases. The actual education part of the school is beyond poor.
My kid came from the best public school in the county to this and hadn't learned 1 SINGLE THING in English or Science.
Next is this schools very out dated dress code. They don't alloy any logos, pictures, or words on clothes. Everyone can agree with me that lanyards and the rule about inappropriate phrases and pictures is very acceptable, but they have taken the codes way too far! The district ranges from 3000 sq foot houses to 500 sq foot apartments. As someone who lives in a 3000 sq foot home I have worked hard growing my business to dress my kids in designer logos and brands. They try to take away this right to make the others not feel bad. Well I say they can go home and complain about it to their 20 year old mothers who don't have a high-school degree.
This school has a very big lack of education and true leadership. The people running this place think a year of PE is more important than learning to type, a skill the children will use for the rest of their lives. It needs a whole new approach to become a decent school. To start they should send all the ghetto students to the prison with their biological parents and keep all the promising students to thrive in a better program. read more
