Was treated great as always. The check in staff was very friendly, the nurses was very friendly. Clean and bedside manner means a ton in a hospital setting.

This review is for the lab in Madison's Huntsville Hospital. I enjoyed my visit there after being…read morein lab work purgatory at a place I won't mention in Harvest which I used for years. Ehn, I shudder at the thought of that place! Enter HH, Madison Lab. Easy online scheduling with, I believe, first available appmt. at 0620, which is great for those [like me] who are fasting. I think my appmt. was around 740. You wait in your car, they text you and you go in. The pond w/ a walking trail around it is so pretty with the fountain feature in the middle, that the time flies by while you enjoy the pond as you wait for your appmt. The interior was clean and cozy. I didn't use the restroom, so I can't comment on that. There is a kiosk to check in and I'm accustomed to having my driver's license, insurance card, and credit card all set to show the receptionist -- not here, they had everything they needed and all I had to do was use the kiosk to check in. WIN. The staff wore masks, and I think we patients did, too and they kept the waiting room capacity down to ~ 4 "patients." Why no 5th star? The lady who drew my blood, although sweet as pie, did a horrible job, and bruised my veins so badly, it took over a week to heal! Thank goodness it didn't hurt at the time, nor did it take her long to pull like 3 vials, but goodness -- DON'T jab me/us like that. Next time, I'll use my right arm that has better veins. I do recommend this lab, it's way nicer than the place that rhymes with "Lab Score."

I received excellent care. The room was clean roomy and very well organized. The staff were…read morecourteous and very professional.

Crestwood Medical Center - My mother's hand bloody, bruised, and swollen. Allen has no idea how this happened and lied that he would get help!

Now that they are expanding I look forward to less crowded ER visits nearer to my home. The Crestwood doctors practices are all North Alabama. Give your body the care it needs with Crestwood.

It was Friday after 5 (of course) and I began having what turned out to be complications from a…read moresurgery that I had a week earlier. The doctor on call at my surgeon's office said that I needed to go to the ER. I avoid the HSV hospital zoo at all costs so I went to Crestwood. I know the staff is jaded. I know they've seen the absolute worst of the worst. They are underpayed, understaffed and just plain tired. But that doesn't take away the responsibility for them to show empathy and respect to all patients. After I was triaged by two nurses who barely looked at me, I sat in the empty waiting room for over an hour before being seen. (The nurse told me that it had been an unusually quiet evening so that wasn't an excuse). I was finally wheeled back to the exam room. On our way down the hall, the nurse said "you should have called your doctor". My husband told her that we did and he sent us here. Then she said "well you should have gone and sat in his office until you were seen". She completely discounted my reason for coming to the ER. The attending NP examined me and said the that the procedure that I needed was too dangerous to do in the ER. He sent me home with medication and told me to see my surgeon Monday morning. (My surgeon could not believe that I was sent home). I ended up having emergency surgery Tuesday morning. By then I had additional complications from having waited so long. I do wonder if that would have happened had the NP put more effort into trying to help me - not just pass me back. Crestwood has been our hospital of choice since we moved here. Since the CEO Pam Hudson left, the hospital has gone downhill. This slide has been gaining momentum and now, what used to be the premiere choice, will finally crash into the big circus in town, HSV hospital. My most recent encounter with Crestwood was not stellar. Sadly, I doubt my next will be any better.

Crestwood Medical Center - Allen was NOT authorized to throw away needle. Must be by nurse/doctor. The gloves were mine; after I cleaned my mother's face and hand.

Nurse Practitioner Billie Smith is AMAZING. I went in with a condition that more than one medical…read moredoctor has "treated" in the past, but it took their "expert treatment" regimens several weeks to take effect. This time, I went to this urgent care, and Nurse Billie's treatment regimen (totally different from the previous doctors) completely took away all the pain before the end of the SAME DAY, and completely cleared up the issue in less than one week! I can't speak for other providers at this facility, but I am highly impressed with, and very thankful to, Nurse Billie! The nurse who took my vitals was also very friendly and professional. (I don't remember her name.) On the other hand, the young woman at the reception desk (I don't know her name either) is a definite liability to this facility, to wit: * All patients are required to wear a mask upon entering, but she sits and talks on the phone with hers pulled down under her chin. * When I first walked in and asked about getting seen, she told me that all appointments were booked for the day, and that walk-in wait time was two hours. So I went back to my car to set up an online appointment for the next day, only to find that she had LIED to me and that there were numerous appointment slots still available that same afternoon! She probably steers patients away whenever possible because she's LAZY and would rather get paid to sit around and play on her phone. * When I came back in later for my appointment, she wasn't at her desk. So I waited... and waited... and waited. Eventually, someone walked by and asked me if I had been helped. I said I hadn't, and that I had an appointment 15 minutes ago, but I've just been standing here waiting. They had a puzzled look on their face, and told me to hold on a second. They went to find her. About five minutes later, she came back in slowly, took her time getting to me to check me in, and then (while I stood there waiting to be taken in for treatment, she sat at her desk talking on the phone with one of her friends... and getting paid. Ugh. Generally, this seems like a great place, but the front desk clerk definitely brings down the facility's efficiency, professional atmosphere, and my rating (which would have been a 5-star, had it not been for her lackadaisical and unprofessional attitude).

I had three bad experiences with other doctor before I came to see Dr. Joshi today. I knew this kind of doctor was out there and I finally found him. He listened attentively to all of my concerns, had a very kind and gentle bedside manner, and I found him to be incredibly knowledgable and aware of how some medical situations can be complicated. I really appreciate how nice the receptionist was and the office staff seemed super organized. The nurse was very nice, too. I was taken back right away for triage with the nurse and the doctor came to see me just moments after the nurse left. So what I am trying to say is that I am extremely pleased with the medical and customer service that I received at my appointment today.
