My favorite dishes are 1) papaya salad (the dirty heavy crab paste version), 2) the catfish curry, and 3) the egg rolls. All of her food is fantastic. Her papaya is to die for. Seriously. It's sweet, sour, salty, and crunchy. I'm an avid papaya salad eater and Zer's is top notch. I have even sipped on the leftover liquid once all the papaya is eaten because it is that good! The catfish curry is the perfect blend of sweet and savory. I especially enjoy the fresh pineapple slices that she adds to that dish. The egg rolls are filled with a good proportion of meat and veggies. I don't like egg rolls with barely any filling in them. They're also very crispy. I highly recommend this place for catering.

We had a pig on a spit but they never showed off the spit and just had the meat in a tray, which was very dry. We had a 7 layer salad, baked beans (very good), stuffing (very bad), mashed potatoes, german potatoes, sauerkraut, broasted chicken (very good). We served pies and cake, all of which was very average! They provided paper plates and paper towels. Appetizers was a cheese and sausage spread, vegetable tray and a smoked salmon (which we had to pay separate and deliver to them) They also provided the table clothes which we had to pick up and return. We received an email 3 days before our wedding that the smoked salmon that we ordered months ago was not available but if I wanted to drive to another city to pick it up and bring it to them I could. What!? I ended up calling the same company that they use and got it locally. I had to drive locally and pick up the fish and bring it over to Biebels, the day before the wedding. As if we did not have enough things going on. They were nice to work with but their performance, quality, and price scored them this poor review. **Update** They charged us over $100 for a "missing table cloth"...10 days after we delivered them back to them. We chatted on several occasions which felt more like hanging out with an old friend over drinks. Ray drew on his vast experience doing this job to keep costs down without making the wedding feel cheap at all. We just expressed our likes and he handled the rest. Very simple, very personable transaction. The trailer and bartender at the event added to the overall flair. I think more people became friends with the bartender than others who were invited to the wedding. Of course the guy serving the beers has to be your friend right? Highly recommend that anyone looking to have a gathering where drinks are needed make Valley your first stop.

However, we did run into issues with the pricing. We had some "bill shock" when we received our final invoice. Prior to the wedding, all of the information was conveyed via phone conversations and when asked about prices directly, only round answers and past figures were provided verbally. Further, it wasn't apparent in any conversations that the company charges you to "rent" their equipment. Last, the cost of having everything piece meal (we paid MSRP for alcohol, but then we were charge for consumables, bar tending, set-up, rental of the equipment, etc.) seemed like a cheaper option, but when considered to the "price per head" model of other vendors, it ended up being more expensive. I would recommend that you consider Valley Liquor for your catering event, but make sure to get a detailed quote in writing prior to the event and that you compare to "price per head" options.
