Kaia FIT Fallbrook is one of the best purchases I could have ever made for myself. Four years ago,…read moreI had gastric bypass surgery because I was nearly 400lbs. I lost over half my size but recently started regaining because I never really learned how to exercise or build muscle. Even now as I'm still heavy set, working out has been challenging because while I'm obviously skilled with eating I haven't a clue when it comes to exercising, lol! With the support of all the women participants, the knowledgeable and motivating coaches, these early AM classes 5 times a s week and a supportive nutritional component/guide throughout this 6 week intensive BRIK program has truly made such a amazing difference. I've built muscle, lost body fat, lost weight, inches and now can run a mile faster than when I could back in my middle school days in only three weeks's time! Plus the monthly rates are an even better bargain than if you were to hire a personal trainer. If you're local to Fallbrook, looking to push yourself to your physical limits and wanting better health with results you can feel and see, then Kaia Fit Fallbrook is your best and in my opinion ONLY option! Love it!

The leadership is great as they have young black belts (who are extraordinary) teaching most of the classes with Master Paulson mentoring as well. I am looking forward to watching my son progress, learning valuable skills and further developing his character in such a positive way. p.s. Mommies & Daddies have the opportunity to workout there too with some very serious cardio, strength, & martial arts classes offered. They have a new SPIN room with many SPIN bikes and a very cool instructor. Prepare to sweat!

I walked in three years ago to my first fitness class thinking that I was in pretty good physical condition, but was looking to add to what I was already doing on my own. I quickly learned that Master Dan's classes were unlike anything that I had ever experienced or could anywhere else. Under his training I went from being a mediocre runner to a competitive distance runner in my age division. I am in better shape at 45 than I ever was in my 20's and 30's. Last year I decided to try Hapkido after watching my 12 year old son and my husband train at Martial Art Concepts since 2011. They are both getting ready to test for their black belts which have not been bought...they have been earned through blood, sweat and years of training. I was concerned that it may hinder my running, but it has done the opposite. I have become more limber, less prone to injury and faster through using the techniques instilled by the instructors at Martial Art Concepts. The program that they provide is un-matched in any surrounding community. In response to this type of martial arts not protecting your children, I can say that because my son was taught to fall correctly, it saved him from a severe injury when he was 10. While riding his quad in the desert, he went over his handle bars at a high rate of speed and because he knew how to fall correctly, he walked away with only a few scratches. My son had done taekwondo before he became a student of Hapkido under Master Dan. He was afraid, unconfident and insecure. Dan encouraged my son with all positive re-enforcement in ways that we were unable as parents to turn our son into a strong, mighty warrior of a young man who now is a defender for those who cannot defend themselves. He is a well respected boy at school and has pushed himself beyond what we ever thought he was capable of because of what he has learned at Martial Art Concepts. Dan Paulson's character shows inside and outside of his studio. His students, parents and instructors adore him and he shows the same attitude towards them. He leads by example in all aspects of his life. His classes may not be for everyone. They are not "easy", you will be challenged and pushed past your comfort zone, but you will be changed forever. I am eternally grateful for all that I have gleaned from Dan and continue to owe him everything for the athlete that I am today.

Christina is absolutely AMAZING. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, conscientious, and thorough. She has the amazing ability to treat each and every single one of her clients as if they are her only client. Your goals become her goals. She develops thorough plans to help clients achieve their goals and she follows through with those plans. She will hold you accountable and encourage you to become the best version of yourself that you can possibly be. She is very detail-oriented and organized and she uses those skills to ensure that progress is made. I have gotten hurt when I worked with other trainers in the past, but I have NEVER gotten hurt and I have always felt SAFE with Christina. I know I can trust her. She even prescribes exercises that one can do at home to help correct issues or to help ensure continued progress. Christina has a knack for pushing you past your comfort level to a point that you would never have gone on your own, BUT she never asks you to do something unsafe that will result in injury. She has helped me to do/achieve things that I never thought I would be able to do. Other trainers don't care about your growth or progress. They are content with providing clients with the same routines. They don't care if their clients plateau. All they care about is collecting their money. Christina is not like that at all. She diligently adjusts the plans she formulates for her clients to ensure growth and progress. To her, you are not just another nameless face, you are a person who matters. Her services are superlative. The content of her character is superlative.

Over the past few years, management has been adding new machines and reorganizing the set-up for space efficiency. Most of the machines are newer with smoothly working parts, and the older machines are outside in the outdoor area of the gym (a unique feature not found in most gyms). The dumbbells, barbells, and other free-weights have no doubt been used, but they aren't busted and dirty like you'd find in any other local gym. At first glance the facility appears small and claustrophobic, but I have yet to come in to the gym where it was too crowded for comfort. The environment is very upbeat and the culture is very small town-like and interactive. I typically workout during the late evening but the staff that are usually on shift (Mark, Andrew, Daniel) are very friendly and always keeping the gym clean. Good quality weights + variety/selection, clean facility, friendly staff and members. What's more to ask?

I later realized that there are several things wrong with it including the staff not being friendly and hostile at times with the exception of Matt who does a stellar job. I finally had enough when I was yelled at by the front desk staff when I was checking in on a morning to get my workout in. It was uncalled for, I was simply giving my name so he could look me up. He goes, " and the freaking date of birth!" I emailed the manager but got no reply and finally just wasn't making sense anymore to support this business and be a member. I've since gone to another gym and the experience is so much better, I'm happy with my choice. I also do walks around town so it was all for the best. Never going to become a member again at this gym.
