I was…read moreunpleasantly surprised by how few places were true coworking spaces with availability for day passes in the FLL area. Finally I found Axis online and it was excellent. My first day I worked in the flexible open space on the first floor. Seating was ample and comfortable. Kitchen was handy (purchase your own snacks will a self checkout iPad). Being on the first floor, it had direct access outside and waterfront views for great walks during breaks. The second day I reserved a private office. That was on the third floor and it was a nice spot. Walls are glass so if you're doing anything proprietary or notably private, it won't meet your need there. WiFi was good. Also, special thanks to the staff for helping me with some annoying network needs. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the day. It's important to know you have to pull up to the building and valet park. The parking was free iirc. Enter the building and inform the building security on the right that you're visiting Axis. They have to let you in. I didn't find that super clear. They're also (understandably) strict on the 5:00 pm closing time if you're not a member. Use the valet ticket to call your car before coming out (valets prefer it, actually).

I have some issues that would keep me from being a regular if I lived here- particularly that the phone booths are not at all sound proofed, have uncomfortable chairs, and have terrible lighting for video calls. Has a bro-y vibe somehow. This is all based on just being in the open spaces.

This place is a DISASTER! My sibling had gotten hired with a couple of her high school colleagues…read morefor a summer internship. The managers are very unprofessional, they would show up very late to work and then get mad at everyone for not having their "work done" but when asked what to do for the day, they never responded and would assign paperwork, after mid-way stat they did not need any of those paperwork's any longer. How are high school students excited to learn and grow in a business if the managers were never there half of the day?! on top of all this inorganization, they fired EVERYONE a week BEFORE the internship was about to finish. They planned on not paying these kids what they worked for and if it wasn't for a couple parents showing up to their building, they would've kept every dime to themselves. They claimed to pay the kids "the days they worked for." not professional and very DISRESPECTFUL! This company needs to be investigated and shut down IMMEDIATELY! they should pay these kids their full internship, since they fired everyone with no reason and word by word said, "we will let you know if we want you guys to come in on Monday or not." I am not usually the type to leave reviews, but the disrespect and no accountability from grown folks left me flabbergasted.

They regularly host events in the start up and tech space. And their prices are reasonable. Pro tip(s) -- Getting there can be tricky. Get off the elevator on the 5th floor, turn left, walk down a long art filled corridor, past the restrooms and you'll see the entrance. --Gets cold in the space. Bring a sweater.

There are some proper desks for day pass use, in addition to the cafe tables, and even a lovely outdoor spot when the weather is nice! Interior decor was nice and bougie. Amenities like coffee, tea, etc. were all available. For lunch, there were a reasonable selection of food places are within 10 minutes of walking distance (tacos, poke bowls, etc.), as well as the lovely Wynwood neighborhood graffiti and street art murals. Generally, a 4-star experience, except for the hours. Hours according to Deskpass were 9:30am-5pm. This means that if you, say, took a 45-minute lunch break, then it's $35 for less than 7 hours of work. This seems to be the going market rate and the hours seem standard for day passes in Miami, but it's just hard for me to justify $35 to not even get 8 hours of work in. I use an additional monitor with an iPad while traveling, along with an external keyboard and laptop stand, and I basically had to start work at my Airbnb, then packed everything up and set up again to work at the coworking space. It was so inconvenient that I decided not to use this space the rest of days in Miami. Bathrooms: Clean and functional and spacious. Well-maintained.

I followed the address and clicked the button to be buzzed in. it seemed to be more of an apartment building, and the person at the front desk directed us through some double doors, and up to a secondary elevator.. Once we arrived at the proper floor, we were pleased with the space. It was vast and had many components, including lots of comfy areas for seating and working, as well as private phone booths to have conversations or take a few minutes to yourself. Everything was really clean and there was lots of seating for our group, the bar was serving food and drinks, and one of the representatives there told us about deals that the cowork space normally has. It seems like a great place to come in and get some work done
