This is a new playground between the Children's School House Museum and City Hall. It was called…read morethe Kids Kingdom because old playground had a castle structure that was built in 1996. It was a great playground and my daughter used to play on it when she was a child. Through the years the playground began to decay and it become dangerous with nails sticking out of the wood. When the old playground was demolished part of the castle structure was saved and moved to another playground. The new playground is part of the 16 acre Town Square project, a mixed use development that will include town hall, library, fire station, cultural venter, children's museum, amphitheater, green space, public art, and much more. The new playground was designed to make it easier for parents to keep an eye on their kids, something that was difficult in the old playground. The playground has climbing structures and slides. I especially love the large butterfly wings and grasses that are inspired by nature. The kids looked like they were having a blast today on the playground during the Pirate and Mermaid Festival. When they redid the park I'm glad they decided to save the large Kapok tree which provides much needed shade.

I was so excited to check out this newly built playground, and I could not have been more disappointed. There is just no way this playground was planned with input from experts or parents :( One of the main problems is that this 1 playground is actually separated into 2 playgrounds, 1 for younger children and one for older children. This would be fine if they were adjacent, but they are not; in fact, one playground cannot be seen from the other! Instead they are separated by a sidewalk (not fenced in and completely open to the road,) and due to a tall building and a slight corner turn, there is no way to see one playground from the other playground and vice versa. Therefore, 1 parent or caretaker cannot separate different aged children and watch both at the same time. Thus, the little playground is empty - because there is nothing here for older kids to do, while the older kid playground is chock full of little children, who are stuck with their older siblings. Not only are the littles using playground equiptment that is too old for them, several spinning apparatus consistently knocked over the younger kids once the piece started spinning. Also, the little playground is a bigger space than the older kids playground, despite all the kids being on the bid kid playground. Parent seating: there is no place for parents inside the fenced playground. There are benches placed outside of the fence for the parents, which is a terrible terrible practice. Now kids are falling over crying and their parents are on a bench outside of the playground. Lack of gate signs: The entrances to the gate of the playground are unmarked. Not a single sign or indicator or where or how to open the playground gate doors. Thus, it is very difficult to get in if you are a parent sitting on an outside bench, because the entire gate looks the same. Lack of signage: there are no signs on the little playground that faces the adjacent playground that indicates: name of playground, what the hours of the playground are, etc. Nothing! considering that the playground fence is physically attached to the back of the Old School Museum building, it is very unclear that this is in fact a public playground open to anyone, instead of a privately owned playspace. Also, there are no signs at each individual playground sharing the info that the other playground is around the corner. More poor planning: inside the big kids playground is a fenced storage area. This is not for kids, but for some reason it is actually inside of their fenced in playground. This makes absolutely no sense. Presumable some non-kid-friendly items live inside here, perhaps a trash bin or tools or chemicals? It would be so so easy for bored kids to climb this fence and go inside, or for someone to leave the door cracked or unlocked. I have never ever seen such strange planning for adult equipment to be kept inside a play space for kids. This playground is across from city hall and adjacent to municipal buildings, yet the only place for this hazardous stuff is inside the playground? Poor equipment: this playground may have been only a year old and already there is rust marks on most of the climbing material, one of the 2 very popular spinning pieces are broken. Also, the equipment is just not that fun. Having so many individual play pieces causes frustration and competition amongst the kids, and it would have made more sense to have communal pieces. This has to be some of the worst and unimaginitive play pieces I've seen of any playgrounds ever. And, no swings. And more: Lots of empty space inside, with zero nature, no trees or anything and no shade at all either.

First off, the park is in a residential section. To get to it from where we were, we had to go past a security guard and gate. Luckily, he just waved us in without having to explain our destination. I liked that the park had things for all ages so the very little kids wouldn't feel left out. For the big "kids", there's basketball courts, and tennis and pickleball courts. There's trees for shade plus benches and covered picnic tables, too. There a cute little lending library, swings for littles and one for smalls, slides, and a jungle gym (climbing structure). And in the back -- the splash pad. There's an on switch by the fence which activates a timer for the water. It sprays out of one area and turns and bubbles in another. The height of the water goes up and down, too. If only we'd worn our bathing suits! How lucky are the neighbors to have this lovely little park!

The park features basketball courts, a fitness trail, racquetball courts, restrooms, playgrounds and a solid perimeter fence. There is even a free wifi here though I wasn't able to get it to work. They have more than sufficient free parking though I would imagine that it gets tight if lots of people are here for the amphitheater. Check out the huge mural. Sara Sims Park is the story of when a city cares and does something right. For years this 12 acre…read moresite and the adjoining cemetery were dilapidated and attracted crime. In 2010 the Community Redevelopment Agency hired REG architects to create a park. The city got input from the community about what they wanted the area to be. The park is named in honor of Sara Sims, a community activist who helped found the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in 1908. She is buried in the historic cemetery adjacent to the park. The city broke ground in October 2018. In November of 2019 a ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the 1.3 million dollar renovation. The park has a steel amphitheater, new parking, restrooms, open lawn, exercise path with mile markers, four new pavilions with their own picnic tables and grills, upgraded racquetball and basketball courts, bicycle racks, and a playground. Security features were added to the park that included emergency call boxes, 5 cameras that allow officers to view the park at all times, and better lights for safety at night. As I was visiting a police car pulled up to keep an eye on the park. Only time will tell if the community embraces this park but the money Boynton Beach invested looks well spent.

Signage was displayed everywhere, very easy to follow. So many volunteers for such an awesome event. I know that the event was the star of the day but it wouldn't have been possible without this great location. But just after one visit we realized what an amazing park this is and often drive from two cities away just to visit. This park is a lovely escape to nature in South Florida. Boosting, many walking paths, bike paths, a dog park, a splash pad, frisbee, golf pitch, fishing areas, boating lake and many other sports areas. Overall, the paths pavement are generally well maintained, however, you do get a little bit of cracking as you do with most paved areas in Florida due to the heat- nothing too extreme, it was still easy to push a stroller. The bathrooms are always clean, yet admittedly, they are quite dated and dark on the inside, even though hygienically they are up to standards . Perhaps adding some better lighting on the inside could help make it feel a little nicer. Today while walking around the park, we visited many of the small playgrounds and our young child enjoyed getting out to play .

While heading through Lantana on my way to the beach, I stumbled across a beautiful Intracoastal…read morepark and decided to stop and get a few extra steps in--and I'm so glad I did. This hidden gem is now known as President Gerald R. Ford Lantana Bicentennial Park, renamed in 2007 to honor President Ford's 1976 visit commemorating the nation's 200th anniversary. Today, it's a peaceful and well-maintained waterfront spot right at the base of the bridge. The park offers a great mix of amenities, including picnic tables, grills, a playground, a picnic pavilion, a spacious green lawn, and clean restrooms. There's also a seawall and a fishing pier, making it a great place to cast a line or just relax by the water. Directly across the way, Sportsman Park provides even more fishing opportunities. The pavilion can be reserved through the city, but the picnic tables and grills are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking is metered unless there's a special event, in which case the city provides a shuttle. Lantana also hosts community events here, including Fourth of July celebrations and a local green market. Even on a regular day, though, it's a perfect spot to sit along the water, take in the scenic views of Lake Worth Lagoon, and watch the boats drift by.

The signage and park also honors former President Gerald Ford. In front of the park sign, and in front of all the flagpoles, there's a separate small stone slab highlighting each armed services branch including the coast guard. Behind the signage is a large art installation. And there's a small butterfly sculpture nearer the waterway. The park is located on the north side of Ocean Avenue just west of the bridge going over the Intracoastal. There's a nice sized playground area -- including structures to climb and slide on, and also a set of swings. A few kids were loudly enjoying this. There's a covered pavilion; and bathroom facilities; there are benches spaced periodically. And a walkway along the wall running along the waterway. A fisherman was trying his hand from the side nearer the bridge. And a few folks were just enjoying the water views from benches and taking a "me" break. My husband is already planning to come back here to fish. And I'll be bringing a good book to enjoy while he catches us dinner.

What makes this park special is the covered area right next to the upper parking lot -- benches, shade, sea breezes, and a gorgeous view of the beach, all without a single grain of sand in your shoes. I've spent many a relaxed afternoon just soaking in the scenery from up there. But when the mood strikes, I grab my towel or beach chair and head down to the sand for the full beach experience. The amenities are solid: clean bathrooms and rinse-off showers, covered picnic pavilions with grills and tables, and lifeguards on duty daily from 9 to 5. With the recent beach expansion, there's even more shoreline to spread out and embrace your inner beach bum. Whether you're here to unwind in the shade or dig your toes in the sand, Oceanfront Park delivers. Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike!

I don't know if she's serious about collecting $19 per visit and being stingy with a 20¢ serving of Goldfish or if she's genuinely unprepared for her customers today. It was weird. I will not be returning.

I absolutely love this place!…read more I was looking for an indoor activity last minute for my son to partake in on a Saturday and came across this indoor playground. I honestly did not know what to expect but when I walked in the doors I felt immediately welcomed. I love that the front door stays locked for security purposes and the check-in system was super smooth. The price of play was $15 which was more than reasonable. My son immediately took his shoes off and began to explore. The owner offered me a cup of coffee (I immediately knew we were in the right place lol) and we engaged in delightful conversation. This is not your "typical" indoor playground which I love more than anything. Totally tech free! There are endless centers and sections of play areas for kids to get lost in imaginative and engaging play time, whether with friends or independently. There is a full size trampoline, toddler trampoline and slide for the kids to enjoy as well. My son had a blast and I intend on making this one of our regular weekend spots to spend time out the house hanging out.

As well, this park has barbecue grills, a large playground, picnic tables and picnic shelters that can be reserved and rented. A small Veterans Memorial is located at the entrance to the park. The park also has a 1/3-mile concrete path that winds around a small lake with a floating fountain. The playground is quite large and has a soft mulch base and some sailcloth cover for a little bit of shade. The benches face the Intracoastal and I sat here for a bit to enjoy the waterside. The main portion has a boardwalk with two lookout towers. Behind the boardwalk is a fenced in walking trail with a gazebo at the halfwayish point. This was a nice hike in exploring preserved land.

We did see a few gopher turtles and a ton of spiders ‍ I couldn't find the trail until after coming home and going back through the photos to configure the direction to go down. Not too many parking spaces, but I don't think that is a dealbreaker considering it's more of an observation area. My son walked to the top to grab a few photos since I couldn't get his sleeping sister up there in the stroller.

Due to erosion the beach access is limited and at high tide the beach all but disappears. But the waves and the ocean view can be enjoyed from the boardwalk. We shall return after the beach restoration project had been completed.

This brown sand beach on the Atlantic Ocean has seen better days. The wind, weather, and storms…read morehave taken its toll. It's a relatively narrow beach and at high tide it basically disappears. Adding to the fact that there are "hidden" rocks aka submerged boulders in the water, you have to be a bit careful here. The beach park has a playground and swings, a sand volleyball court, picnic grills and tables and a rental pavilion. It's open sunrise to sunset. No dogs or fishing. And the dunes and plants are "protected". Still I love a beach no matter what. The sound of the waves, the smell of the sea air, the feel of the water all call to me in some mystical fashion. Soothing. Calming. Spiritual. Mysterious.
