The flank steak was rubbery and even after chewing for a while, I couldn't break apart any piece I painstakingly sawed off the main piece and basically swallowed them whole. Also, my companions' eggplants, while not tough like my steak, were unbelievably salty, such that my companions could not finish their eggplant dish at all. In addition, throughout this time, no one refilled my glass of water, and although I did enjoy the dessert, I noticed my napkin had been taken and I wasn't given a replacement, so I had nothing to wipe my mouth with while eating the dessert! Since it was my birthday, we also got a free strawberry ice cream cake. The atmosphere is very intimate, the staff are great and very welcoming, and the service is great. The free flow time was said to be 90 minutes but they were flexible and our last order was a little later than that. The free flow included champagne, red and white wine as well as sake and all the glasses we sampled were very good and perfectly suited to our dishes. Will definitely come back!

It comes with fries too so it is very filling. Risotto- exceptional! The semi-raw egg just add an extra creaminess to it. Personally, I feel like the food is not bad. I first came a number of years ago, and thought at the time that the food was pretty good. Having come back again in the past couple months as well, I found myself still basically feeling that way. However, I feel like this place is pretty bad value overall. It's very expensive, which is, I feel, mainly due to the high overhead costs. Having a restaurant in this one little area is very expensive, considering this is prime office real estate. The problem is made worse by the fact that they just have such a large space here. The amount of food you get is not really in line with the price you pay; it would be one thing if it were expensive and you got enough food with your dollar, but that's just not the case, even if the food is good. The problem isn't just M&M fox however, Quarry Bay in general is in general just a wasteland when it comes to fine dining that is actually good value. I think if you're really determined to have western food that is like... better than mcdonalds, you should either go to frites (less than five minutes away), or just not dine in this neighborhood in general.
