This place was recommended by the staff at the amazing Jameson Distillery(about four blocks down) and we were very pleased! They offer a wide variety of whiskeys and they said they are the only bar around that serves all of the whiskeys they make at the Distillery(so, Jameson, Middleton, Paddys, Powers, Green spot, and maybe some more ...) they also carry their own in house made beer! The had a Stout called white collar that was very tasty and smooth and better than Beamish in my opinion. They also had a nice ale, very easy to drink with a light flavor. Being an American I'm still getting use to how each restaurant does the service thing, some want you to come up and order at the bar or the table and some don't care, well we went up tithe bar and he told us, that he would come and get our order at the table, very friendly and while walking there together I just casually asked how was the mad monk beer and he insisted I get a try and didn't just pour me one, but one for the whole table to try, he sat down across from us and took our order. Just an overall friendly guy. Helped each of us choose the right beer. He even came over when his shift ended to say goodbye. I got a pepper steak and it came with gravy that I didn't need because it was so flavorful and cooked at what I asked! I saw they only had one review and I had to help out! read more
