You'll find most of your basic pantry needs satisfied and even a wide selection lottery scratchers if you're feeing lucky. The store is immaculate and clean. Oh, and they beat Sobeys by $1 on ice! There are a number of stores that have 24-hour service, but most stores do not. This store at Fischer-Hallman and Ottawa in Kitchener is a 24-hour store, and after 11 pm on most nights when the local store is closed I this is a long walk to this 24-hour store at Fischer-Hallman and Ottawa is required. Prices are high and selection is limited, but it is a convenience store, so that much is to be expected. Service is OK, but when it's busy there can be a long wait at the cash while the lone cashier checks you out. When it's cold out, or when you are tired, needing to go to the 24-hour store farther away keeps me from giving this location more stars.

I'm not sure if this is the boom in population in the region of Waterloo from the increased foreign worker population brought on by the temporary labour shortage. In the last year, I've had non colour people constantly ramming carts up my backside, even when I go in during the low traffic time. If this is now a thing to rage against coloured population at the Costco- I would ask the patrons to stop and talk to your local MP if you're feeling like a minority. Frankly speaking, targeting people of colour is wrong;as an essential service worker in the region of Waterloo for over a decade and schooling in the region, this is unfair to punish and target by race. My photo shows the self checkout and a prominent coloured person hater who take great joy in ramming coloured patrons. Hate has to stop. I hope Costco employees can better manage and even step in to these matters.

I've had two recent struggles at this location, the first was an online order pick up that took…read more15min because they could not find the person in charge of arranging online order pick up. I found this location unsympathetic to accessibility needs keeping senior patron waiting too long standing and failure to follow social distancing protocols. In a second incident, I used self check out with two items, redeemed gift card and found that the machine was not printing out receipt. After receiving payment the machine did prompt approved and another attendee indicated the payment was not received. This is self check out #79. The irony is the attendee to the machine said that they were already aware receipt print out could take up to 3 to 4 min. I dont think that's quite acceptable for the check out. In this case they asked for a secondary payment. Again today employees did not respect social distancing.
