First of all, this place only takes cash or check. We heard this was a Clemson staple, so we decided to try it out. The outside and inside are not impressive. There is very little seating. The inside is covered in Clemson memorabilia. I wouldn't recommend scrutinizing the inside because that is fairly deterring. We waited about 15 minutes for our food. It was good, old fashioned dive food.

Even the simple salad of iceberg lettuce, and what tasted like homegrown tomatoes was delish.

That said, I usually visit during off hours to avoid the dinner rush so maybe that plays into it. Service has always been good for me. I absolutely LOVE the house salad with ranch dressing. It's so good that sometimes I actually crave it and just have to go there! I usually get the 6oz sirloin because it's just enough food for me and it's always great- cooked just right- very tender (usually always better than steaks I've had at Texas Road House). All the different cuts I've tried have been good, but I tend to like the sirloin better than some of the fancier cuts that I've tried there. I've taken out of town guests here and they loved it too. The only complaint I have is that in January I recommended my out of town sister order my mom a $50 gift certificate from here, which she did, but it never showed up. I felt responsible because my sister seemingly wasted her money on my suggestion. Disappointing because my mom also loves to eat here (she gets the shrimp and fish platter) but I'm not sure if my sister followed up on it or not. That's my reason for four stars instead of five. She was really looking forward to getting that certificate.

Ordered a tequila and pineapple over ice with lime and it was not shaken so I will ding god that. Ordered the seasame ahi with seaweed salad. The fish was amazing, cooked perfectly with multiple sauces. Seaweed salad and a fried rice. We used to own a restaurant and had a consultant who said "whatever you have on the menu should be memorable" well the fried rice was weird so that was not memorable. Ordered the crepe, with ice cream, hot fudge, raspberries and whipped cream. The crepes were a bit thick but everything else was good. Ambiance 4 Food-4 Pricing ok

We decided to eat here for our anniversary dinner! Wanted to try it because of the reputation and…read morethe longevity. Neat restaurant with a retro design. Server, Bryson, was very personable and helpful (e.g. let us know that the mashed potatoes were instant and not good). Chicken Picatta with asparagus was good. Prime Rib was good, not great, and not worth $48. We have worked in the restaurant industry for 25 years and are therefore pretty observant and experienced in what makes for a positive dining experience. P&B's is definitely missing the mark in a few areas. In our experience, the signs we saw point to older owners who are tired of the business and/or not as involved in daily operations as they were/should be. They are also "cost conscious" and value profit over diner's experience. We observed these things during our dining experience: 1) NO ice in the water glasses. Cost cutting? Or the ice maker needs repair? 2) No ice wouldn't have been too bad if the ac was set below 76. High humidity and higher temp made for a less than comfortable dining experience. 3) Ribeye steak was sliced incorrectly with one end about 1/4" thick and the other about 7/16 thick. This resulted in a well done end and a medium end, instead of a consistent medium rare steak. Flavor/Seasoning was minimal. Portion was small too, probably 8-9 ounce, with lots of fat cap. Grilled onions and mushrooms were overcooked and had little flavor. This was a $20 steak at best: certainly not a $40 steak. 4) Baked potatoes and veg came out warm, not hot, and were cold before we finished eating. This place is "resting on its laurels" and the owners are cutting costs and trying to make as much they can before they are forced to close or find someone who is willing to buy them out. While I am sure it had its day, its day is gone and it is in need of new menu and new management. 3 people. 2 beers. 3 meals. $145 plus tip. We have had far superior meals at the nearby Long Horn Steakhouse for about 1/2 the price. We would not recommend this location, unless it is sentimental to you. There are better restaurants in the area who actually care about their customers and the dining experience.

It was our son's birthday, and he chose CityRange to celebrate. None of us had ever been to the…read morerestaurant or heard of it before so it was neat he found the option on his own. He turned 18 that day. Other reviews had mentioned making a reservation so we did with Open Table. It was St. Patrick's Day so the restaurant had a good amount of people, but it may usually be busier when it isn't an Irish drinking holiday. The house garlic bread was drool worthy. It came with a side of garlic butter and oil. Next, we had the calamari which was comprised of fried calamari rings, fried spicy peppers, and fried lemon slices. I'm not sure how I felt about all those things, and the portion was a little small since there were a lot of filler items. The calamari and peppers were good to me. Others didn't mind the lemon, but for me, they were just fillers that made the basket look fuller. For my entree, I got the 3 Black and blue filet medallions ( 3 oz each) that are topped with mini crab cakes with a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus. I absolutely LOVED my meal. Everything on the plate was hands down amazing. I wanted steak and crab cakes so this was the perfect option! The only change I made was opting for the chimmichurri sauce on the side instead of the Bernaise sauce it came with. I don't know how those mashed potatoes were made, but wow! Perfection. My husband got the filet with asparagus, and the kids got NY Strip steaks - one with fries and the other loaded mashed potatoes. We all really loved our food, and I look forward to another visit.

There were two people working in the bar area; one was a rather loud-talking male who appeared to be some type of manager. He got into a conversation about his personal education with the table next to us. The young lady who waited on us was new, but was helpful and responsive. She was careful and informative with my food sensitivities. I had a little trouble ordering from their brunch menu, due to gluten intolerance, but finally settled on the Western Omelet with a side of Cheddar Grits. Hubby just got a bowl of biscuits, daughter got a Caesar Salad, and granddaughter got the Kentucky Hot Brown. I think my meal must have been the best, since I actually ate it all. The omelet was the best part - very tasty. The grits were not as creamy as you would expect Cheddar Grits to be, but they were fine. I also had iced tea, which was good. The daughter says she comes here somewhat often, as it's near her work, so I'd guess the midweek menu is a little better.
