The food and service was absolutely amazing. We got the wrong burrito and they had no problem replacing it with the one that was correct. Great portions and delicious food! The birria was delicious and honestly a new flavor of birria I haven't tried before. I would definitely recommend this place!

Coming from a 15 yr stay in Tucson, I am fairly familiar with Taco's, burritos and the rest - been there .... ate all of that. Our visit to Macos was enjoyable, we beat the lunch hour rush getting there at 11:45 (would highly suggest this as the location is a bit small but certainly mighty). When we arrived we were just #2 in line and ordered up a few tacos. Having not tried the menu B 4 we winged it with some familiar favs. My lunch date tried the fish and shredded beef tacos and I went for the fish and carne asada ones. Friendly place .. we moved to the middle of the establishment where there are 3 tables (4 can fit at each table as long as you are not .. as they say in Tucson gordito - large). The tableware and napkins are self serve in a small recessed area on the way to the 3 tables. There are stools and a small counter up front but thinking is might be a congestion area we moved to the tables. Restrooms are in the back which is a nice add on Food came quickly and looked good. After consuming the two tacos here is a bit of feedback on those orders: Fish tacos - while hot and tasty, the mayo dressing made the fish a bit soggy and wet - the longer they say the wetter they got. Not a AA pick so suggest you go with another pick. Shredded taco - looked and tasted great, if you like the pico look and taste here is your pick - deep fried so if you are offended by grease you may want to try another - we liked it. Carne Asada - this one came with onions, cilantro and avacago on it, a new spin for me but did not stop me from slugging it down - good one. I would order it again. The table green and red sauces were home made and were so spicy they both kept moving off our table - yikes they are alive !! Hot and hotter .. so if you are not immediately close to a soda or water keep the 911 button handy. No doubt we will return, trying a few new items from the menu as we refine our happy spot. The fish tacos move us from a 5 star to a 4 star but will give the location a second visit to level the playing field.

I got the California burrito. It actually had fries in it which was a joy for me cause hardly any taco place outside of California does that.

Delicious food! The pastor and birria tacos were delicious and flavorful. The food was a little expensive, had to wait a while, the hot sauce could be hotter, and tortilla chips could be fresher. That said, we will be back!

    Perfect fish taco !

Best Carne Asada fries in Knoxville and possibly east of Arizona

Hands-down, the best taco shop in Knoxville. If you've ever been to San Diego and had Carne Asada fries or a Carne Asada burrito or a California burrito this is the place. I've been on the hunt for a solid taco shop for the last five years since I relocated from San Diego and this is hands-down, the best place in town!

Absolutely the closest thing to California Mexican food in East Tennessee. I probably eat here too much.

When they tell you it will be a 45 minute wait for a breakfast burrito ... wait. It's totally worth it! So good!

I love the grilled chicken bowl. It's pricey but worth it. Plenty of chicken and other really good stuff with a bag of chips.

Excellent ground beef tacos. The refried beans were to watery for my taste. Everyone I go in it is very clean. The crew are always friendly.

First, I thought I had reviewed them already-- so if I do two, that's why…read more I'm giving this 5 stars relating it to other SIMILAR places-- that is, Mexican restaurants within a grocery store--- i.e. more limited menu (although their's is pretty broad), not full bar-service (but they have beer), and not fancy. For what it is-- it is really scrumptious. I had a few tacos, a ceviche tostada and a beer. BIG lunch-- I took one taco home. All the items were really chock-ful of meat. The carnitas on that taco was way too much to be able to pick up the taco with it all inside. They had a good mix of onions and cilantro on them, although I'd have preferred to add my own (I LOVE cilantro). I wish it was nearer; I'd go back often.

This restaurant is located in the back of a Mexican supermarket. It's not very big and if you're…read morecoming here during the week come before noon, a lot of construction workers come in here and fill the place up. The salsa and chips--- First bite tasted like tomato paste to me, very tangy and had a kick of spice. Chips were warm. No Guacamole!!!! What Mexican place has no guac? Chimichanga de pollo-- Shredded chicken with some onions, peppers and covered in cheese sauce. Fajitas mixta-- Steak was a little tough and chicken was very thin slices. Lacked some spices. More onions, green peppers and tomatoes than meat. It wasn't bad, but for our taste we have had better. The whole meal lacked spices. Would we recommend? Yes, give it a try, you might like it. Salsa is good but it's too tomato pastey for us.
