The bar had everything you could want and including a good beer selection. They also allow you to bring your own food, which is a game changer. There is one food truck onsite that rotates (it was Mexican the night we were there) and a pizza place next door with great pizza. There are some TVs playing sports and a kid's area so bring the kids and dogs. Onvce the band started, it was loud, but we had a great time here catching up with friends.

The blue cheese also wasn't appetizing and didn't pair well with my lemon pepper wings. I ended up using ranch instead, and I believe I was still charged for the blue cheese. The service was pleasant but inconsistent. My server was friendly and polite, which is why I still left a decent tip, but she didn't check on me as often as expected. I also found it unusual that I had to send my tip through Cash App because their payment system doesn't allow tips to be added directly to the receipt. That process felt inconvenient and outdated. The atmosphere has a lot of potential. The building itself is beautiful, and I love the overall ambiance. However, the seating could use some attention. I wore shorts, and the booth cushions were worn enough that they scratched my legs. The restaurant could also benefit from having a host or hostess. When you walk in, you're left to find your own seat, and there doesn't seem to be much guidance for guests. It appeared that there was only one server covering the dining area when I visited around 4:30-5:00 PM. While it wasn't particularly busy, having additional wait staff and a dedicated host would likely improve the customer experience significantly. The staff seemed nice and professional overall, but the restaurant would benefit from additional training, staffing, and a more organized front-of-house operation. Overall, I'd rate my experience 3.5 out of 5 stars. The food is absolutely on point and keeps me coming back, but improvements in service, seating, and guest hospitality would make a big difference. Cashman's Pub has tremendous potential, and with a few adjustments, it could easily become one of the area's top dining spots.

The party next to me had some issues and sent their salad back which came out wrong again so after looking at mine I said this salad should have been hers and the one she initially had was mine. So they said they did not mind to switch because I hadn't touched mine and I was ok with that as well. I told the girl to just bring my eggs to go on the salad to make it correct. We and the party next to us boxed up our food and took it home. We all agreed it was simply too filthy to eat in there. Half of sis food was cold anyways. There were issues all around. A customer picking up food ended up cursing out one of the 2 servers they had. I have no clue exactly why this place was functioning as such but this definitely was a management issue. So I packed up my then fiance and we took a day trip down there in May 2019! Kaylee gave us a tour, answered all of our questions, and made us feel welcome automatically. We knew this was the venue we wanted for our wedding within the first ten minutes of being there! Our original wedding was scheduled for May 2020. Of course, due to COVID our original date didn't happen. I was so upset to make that decision in March but Kaylee and the Ballroom were fantastic. The were understanding, they kept in contact, and when it came time we had no issues postponing and changing our date. We rescheduled for July 2020 with a severely shortened guest list. I had to make changes as soon as the week before our wedding date. Kaylee made sure all of our needs were taken care of. She was conscious about social distancing, about sanitation, and keeping me in the loop. I am forever grateful for her and her team. Planning a wedding is stressful enough but I was really feeling the pressure tenfold in those closing months! Our wedding day went off perfectly. I stayed in the Suite the night before and let me tell you, that bed will make even the most nervous bride sleep peacefully! The venue needs little help in the way of decor, it's naturally gorgeous. The staff on site was polite and helpful. At the end of the night the security even helped us bring a few things out! There are a LOT of stairs at this venue but they have an elevator that works great and made things MUCH easier in setting up and breaking down. The surrounding area of Downtown Macon has tons of opportunities for pictures if you want a change of scenery for a few. Honestly, despite the challenges of 2020, my wedding day is something I will look back on with overwhelming joy and that is in large part thanks to The Library Ballroom. If you want a beautiful venue with a warm staff that really cares about YOU, I say book today. I cannot recommend them enough!

Room was nice, but did smell intermittently, which I believe came from the construction going on nearby/outside. Now for the pluses. Front desk staff were super nice and helpful. Concierge lounge was up and running. Loved the regular sized bottles of water. Staff there did a great job--cleaned tables and wiped them down. Location was convenient to a variety of places to eat near by. In general, I try to stay at places that don't charge for parking. You are already paying to stay there, so glad there was not any additional parking costs. Nice sized lot so it was awesome I didn't have to drive around and around looking for a spot to park. Did I say the staff was super nice? Well I am saying it again since it was refreshing to have folks who really seemed to do what they could to ensure you had a nice stay.. Room was clean. Towels were my favorite absorbent ones. Water pressure and temperature were on target. Nice long counter in the bathroom. Larger fridge in the room. Bed and sheets were comfy and inviting. Lots of outlets for charging your devices. Definitely more pluses than challenges!

The concierge staff (face to face) and restaurant staff were fantastic ... very accommodating and caring ... rendered services with a smile! Here we go! Well, once we were checked in and exited the elevator on our floor a stinky stuffy odor hit us immediately. It continued to fill our noses all the way down the hallway to our room door. Once in the room it was the same but somewhat concentrated (odor). I believe the odor was in the carpet (needed shampooing badly). There were also stains and wear showing in the carpet throughout the hotel. When we initially arrived we had to immediately get ready to attend a function. We hurried off after changing for our event. When we returned later that evening we called over and over to the concierge's number to ask about breakfast (no answer....never ever got anyone). Hubby and I gave up and got ready to turn in. When we turned our bed back it appeared to have already been slept in (badly loose and wrinkled sheets impacted in the wear pattern of the mattress's grooves). We called again, again no answer. We were so tired that we slept atop the bed. Later that night I got up to use the bathroom. When I turned the light on a roach ran across the bathroom floor (ughhh). Needless to say that we were so disappointed. This is a Marriott after all!!! We didn't expect this here. We're still In disbelief. I'll end my review on positive note. We found the breakfast staff to be accommodating and attentive. Our server was Ashley. She was reallly good ... a bright light during our stay. Another observation was a chef who we saw constantly monitoring the chafing pans and replacing pastries as needed. He was on the ball. Thank you chef Shawn! The breakfast menu is not vast but what is served there is very good (eggs, meats, breads, pastries, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals, drinks and more). Lastly, we were surprised that this Marriott did not have an EV charging station. Verrry surprised. What we received here I'd expect from budget hotels. Very disappointed. Recommendation: look into other credible hotels around for the rate this hotel charges. The saving grace here for us is the staff.
