Here I get an honest & professional opinion on what work needs to be done & when. My step children had braces 2 times as their dentist recommended them too early. Let's start with the only positive about this place: Dr…read moreDarren is a fantastic dentist and some of the hygienists are good as well. Now for the nitty gritty: Less than 48 hours after my temporary crown cracked in half and fell out of my mouth at work. I called in to see if they could fit me in on an emergency basis as they wanted me to have this temp crown in my mouth for two/three months. The receptionist was a complete jerk on the phone, placed me on hold for 10 mins and then said "ya sure come at 5:15pm". When I arrived that evening, she wouldn't even acknowledge my existence. However the temp was replaced and they agreed to order me my actual crown as sitting in a temp crown for 2-3 months is not doable. The crown was placed in a week later and I decided to take my business elsewhere as the vibe from the receptionist was really awful. Fast forward to two weeks ago when I was at my new dental office. I asked the administrator (who is lovely btw) to call Drake Landing to get copies of my recent xrays. The receptionist at Drake Landing proceeded to belittle me and telly new dental office how "horrible I was and that I was a trouble maker". She sent over what xrays they had and I ended up apologizing to my new dental office for making them call a chat to such a rude person. Super embarrassing. Anyways, I called Drake Landing to speak to the office manager about his as I had done nothing wrong and I didn't appreciate them slandering my name. I was told "the office manager only works two days, doesn't have an email address and she will call you back". This never happened. Point of the story: If you want to have a terrible customer service experience before your dental apt, if you want the office manager to never call you back or if you feel like over paying for your services....this is your place. HOWEVER, the dentist is very good.

I get it and understand it if it was necessary then yes but as a parent I have all the right to know what they're proceeding with specially when they will be removing those 2 tooth. Then I try to have conversation with the office manager and she said let's go in my office, when I asked let me drop my kids to their school bus and I'll come to talk. instead of resolving the issue the owner who is also dentist there get in the middle and put his hand on me. I try to record him when he get very aggressive, he try to grab my phone aggressively and throw my phone away, broke the screen of my phone, he slapped me, put his hand on my neck and jaw line very forcefully to hold me from my neck and arm and throw me out of the door in front of my kids saying get out of my business. I also heart my foot from the door frame. I called the 911. He didn't even waited for the police and fled the scene. He should be ashamed as a doctor who treat his clients like that specially infront of kids.my kids are still traumatized and telling everyone how that dr was so rude and hit my mommy in his school and Neighbour. How can you be a doctor and hitting people in scrub. What a example you have set up for my kids. They would be always traumatized by a dentist now.

In fact it seems a little silly to review a dentist, but that is how fantastic Dr. Dan Meyer at Edgemont Dental is. He is so skilled that he seems to finish the dental work needed in the time that my previous dentists took to do the 'prep' work. He also only does what is absolutely needed, and doesn't try to 'upsell' you on work - a practice that made me think of some of my previous dentist as used car salesmen. (Sorry used car salesmen.)
