Another HVAC company quoted them an exorbitant price for a new boiler and wouldn't even consider the boiler they had. I called K & K and they came out the next day, inspected the existing piping and evaluated the setup. RECEIVED TERRIBLE SERVICE AND GROSSLY OVERCHARGED. I…read morescheduled air conditioning repair service. When the repairman came, after reviewing the system for a couple of hours, he said he needed a more experienced person to help him figure out the issue. I had to schedule a visit for him and another repairman so that he could explain to the other "more experienced" repairman the air conditioning system in my house. That appointment was canceled by them the night before and rescheduled for a week later. They said another company had incorrectly wired a part. Instead of rewiring it correctly, I was told I needed to order a replacement part as well as another part that seemed to do the same thing. I had previously paid $150 for the incorrectly wired part, but the estimate for the replacement plus the new extra part was $877. Also, the price for adding refrigerant was $204 for the first pound and $145 for each additional pound. Previously used companies charge $40 per pound. We called on Friday morning to speak to a manager. No one was available, but we were told he would return the call on Monday morning. He didn't. We called back again on Tuesday afternoon. The manager didn't answer why the part was not simply rewired instead of being replaced. However, he said, we probably didn't need the second part after all. When questioned about the shocking difference in pricing for the refrigerant, he said they charged the national average. We looked up the price online, and a 5lb tank of the same refrigerant (R-410A) was priced at $138. When we called back and left a message, the call was never returned. I WOULD NEVER CALL Team Bob AGAIN. Not only do they grossly overcharge for their services, but they also have you sign an iPad for the bill before presenting the actual bill to you. You receive an itemized bill about one week later. After paying $1280.00, my air conditioning system still doesn't work.
