visited this place during the south first friday event. it's small but great exhibition of art. Cool art piece, and really inspiring. Will love to visit again next month.

It was FREE to visit! The gallery is a large room with a good variety of Latino art. Worth stopping in when strolling downtown!

So glad San Jose has all of these supportive/amazing facilities that honor my culture. This evening I attended a play called 57 Chevy and when I first arrived I was confused on where to enter and went through the wrong door. A wonderful lady came and took me to the right place, and also tried to help me figure out where the nearest ATM was to pay for the valet parking (15, although the sign said 10 but whatever downtown parking sucks ass and at least it was across the street). She was really sweet and welcoming. The gallery had minimal art displayed but everything was really dope. The play was so exciting! The price was only 15 dollars which is super student friendly. The chairs were really uncomfortable but tangible since everything/everyone else was so accommodating. Loved it!

Wasn't aware of this until we attended First Fridays, but they have a music space (separate room) in the museum. Cool!

The studio is clean and easy to get to from our house. I had a couple of issues with the party. First, this was a group of 5 year olds and the teacher chose an art project that was super challenging. My son loved it but I think it could have been a little better chosen for the age group. Secondly, I think that there should be some sort of paper trail after I booked the party. Everything is done verbally. I wanted to pay for the upgraded package or at least thought I told the manager this but when it came time for the party we did not get the upgraded package. It was a bit confusing. Overall, it was a good experience. I would recommend this kind of birthday party to others.

As parents, we'd always been impressed with her creativity, but now the world was giving us feedback reinforcing that it wasn't just silly parental pride. What to do? Somehow we came upon the great answer of taking weekly Father-Daughter art classes at Hidden Talent. We've been doing it for 2 years and my daughter and I just love it! The teachers at Hidden Talent are all very caring, talented, friendly, and genuinely interested in teaching the students. We've explored a variety of mediums, techniques, and materials in our projects. We spent last fall working on the human form - something really great for a 5th grader to begin to learn. Too bad we can't post pictures in this Yelp post! If your child is showing that creative spark and you want to foster it, nurture it, and help them really grown that talent, this is a fantastic opportunity. If you sign up for the parent-child class you'll gain triple benefits: each of you will stretch your artistic legs and you'll get that special weekly bonding time you and your child will remember the rest of your lives.

Though there was a schedule that listed Matiz class 9:45 am to 10:45 am on Saturdays, there was no information regarding start and end date, so I was under the impression it was on a rolling admission, or that I would receive an email with directions. I did not receive an email with instructions, thus I emailed Art Hub Academy asking whether or not I should show up the next day (Saturday) for the class. Jose Luis emailed me back and let me know that all classes start at the beginning of the month, however he was super accommodating and allowed my son to come in the next day, all due to MY confusion! I apologized for the inconvenience and thanked him for his flexibility and for being so thoughtful. We showed up to the class the next morning, and Ms. Vivian was there. I am extremely impressed with how patient she is. She provided an all inclusive classroom environment that made my son feel comfortable. So much so, that he asked if I could leave because all of the other parents were not present. Usually he does not like to be alone in new environments until he warms up, but he wanted to be alone within 10 minutes of the class! The children were already working on a clay project from the week prior, and Ms. Vivian accommodated all of the children. I watched her navigate the class professionally with an enthusiastic attitude and friendly demeanor. She was well organized and made sure to give every child attention, as well as one-on-one attention. She explained tasks well to the children, and encouraged the children to socialize. She was gentle yet firm in her teaching approach. I got the vibe that Ms. Vivian loves what she does and it truly shows through her actions. When the class was over, I walked back in to pick my child up. I asked her how my child did. It went well, he enjoyed it all while having fun and learning art concepts. I was surprised at how attentive she proved to be. In addition to telling me how the class went, she picked up on things that I was already aware of, but did not expect others to pick up on during a one hour class. For example, she picked up on the fact that my son needs a lot of hands-on instruction and repetition. She even went as far as to ask how she could better help my son. Words can not explain how good Ms. Vivian's attention to detail made me feel as a parent. I am truly appreciative of the professional and patient demeanor exhibited by this facility. I am really happy with the choice I made to bring my child here. My son would not stop talking about how fun the class was, and walking me through the process of "wiring" for his clay model. It has only been one class and I can see the impact that this establishment has made on my child's self-confidence. The developmental gains that my son (and I'm sure other children) are making from this establishment are substantial. Thank you for the love and confidence that you pour into our children, Art Hub Academy!
