Save your $20 and skip the "10-minute" scalp massage!…read more I really wanted to love Lather and Blow because I was excited to finally have a blow-dry bar in the West Valley. Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed. My biggest issue is the "10-minute scalp massage" advertised for an additional $20. I specifically mentioned that I had added it on, and the stylist was aware. So when it came time and she began the scalp massage I started a timer. The pressure was perfect and it felt heavenly until she stopped so soon and I was shocked, thought maybe she was just pausing for a moment but then she grabbed a towel, and had me move to her station. I checked the timer afterward: 2 minutes and 35 seconds. Yes, TWO MINUTES AND 35 SECONDS for a service advertised as 10 minutes! The stylist was nice, not super talkative but that's okay, and I did love the volume and the front of my hair was styled perfectly. My hair did feel very clean afterward, but the underneath/back wasn't what I asked for, and I ended up fixing it myself at home. The whole appointment I sat there trying not to worry and just trusting the process, I was in and out of there in 30min and the first experience in general was lacking. My total was $78 for the blowout and "10-minute" scalp massage, before I still tipped, so that extra $20 felt like a complete waste. I've had much better scalp massages and blowouts at other places and for less money. I really wanted a convenient lower West Valley option, but unfortunately I can't justify spending my money here when I can drive a little farther and get a better experience elsewhere.
