I decided to stop and see Lupe to see if she could help me. She graciously sat me in the chair and went to work. She did her very best with what she could and I left so much happier than when I arrived. I'm giving 2 stars because I appreciate the associate that helped me locate a product, it would be a 1 otherwise.. My main issue was my experience during checkout. It felt very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. There was no greeting, and when I asked if the cashier could look up my Ulta card so I could use it for payment, I was immediately cut off with "no we don't do that here". I mentioned that I recently been able to do this at another Ulta location, which then the cashier told me to enter my # to look up my account and found my card. This was what I had originally requested.. not sure why they were being dismissive and gave attitude in the first place (?). During the transaction, the cashier was staring at their phone and mumbled something to their coworker, which I normally wouldn't mind, but given the whole interaction it made me feel off. It seemed like they were in a rush and I was inconveniencing them. If that was the case, another associate could have been assigned to the register or taken over. I thought I may have been overthinking the interaction but my partner felt the same way after we left. I've worked in the service industry for years and I would never handle a customer interaction the way they did. I've attached my receipt, with the cashier's name redacted for privacy.
