Right at 2:30 one of the barbers asked if I had an appointment. I said yes. He pointed to a female barber in the corner and said I'd be with her. I had just watched someone sit down in her chair, so I mentioned it. He then went over and asked her how long she'd be, which confirmed I was looking at at least another 30-minute wait. The way it was handled made it seem like this wasn't unusual. After I canceled my appointment, I got a quick, half-hearted "sorry about that." Honestly, if there had been more sincerity in the apology or any sense that the mistake was being owned, I probably wouldn't have written this. But with 15 minutes left before my new appointment at my usual shop, I figured I'd take a minute to share the experience. What's the point of making an appointment if you're going to wait as long as a walk-in? Not sure if this will help anyone, but it was frustrating enough that I felt it was worth sharing.
