I meant to get this up sooner- Eddie is an absolutely fantastic barber with superb people skills, time management and availability. I called Eddie about a quarter to MIDNIGHT- and he still picked up the phone. I was in dire need of a full shave (bald head) and asked if he could take me at 7AM (everyone else is literally CLOSED until 9AM!). Eddie HAPPILY accepted my request and gave me the BEST hair cut of my life. His studio is extremely clean, well put together and throughly throughout when it comes to comfort. There is a leather couch available for one or two extra people who are accompanying you during your visit. (He also has a wide screen flat screen with your choice of Netflix show) I came to Eddie by myself and felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time. (You're in good hands fellow ladies!) So I didn't get my hair cut here but.... I think human decency deserves 5 stars. I recently stopped in this plaza because my 2 year old needed to use the restroom. If you've ever potty trained, you know the deal... stop immediately and run! I thought I could stop into the flame broiler next door (and I'm willing to make a purchase) but the guy on shift wouldn't open the door because it was 5 min til opening.... the next place wouldn't let me use the restroom as well. By this time I'm running so we don't have an accident. I ran into the barber shop and the owner was incredibly gracious even though there was no incentive to accommodate me as a woman with a young child with hair that doesn't get serviced at a barber shop. (Bathroom was super clean by the way....) That right there? Human decency. He didn't ask for anything. This happened several weeks ago but I just thought about it this evening and I think that being this kind of person probably speaks to his work ethic and customer service. I just moved to LA and needed a new barber. I found Eddie on Instagram and loved what I saw on his portfolio. I booked him through the Book button available on his profile. Eddie and I also texted before my appointment because he needed to reschedule me for a different time and I had questions about his preferred method of payment (he accepts Venmo - convenient!) He was quick to respond and very professional. Upon arriving at the barbershop, Eddie greeted me and was ready to go (I'm actually used to having to wait 10-15 minutes for a barber to finish his previous session). He asked what I wanted done, listened carefully, and reviewed what I said so he can confirm and make sure. Throughout the cut, we had a great conversation. He is such a humble guy! Everyone else at the shop were very friendly, also. My cut came out just the way I wanted and I'm just really happy that I found my new barber in the first try! Today was the first time in this Barber shop but it won't be the last. Eddies service and talent at what he does is top notch. As a matter of fact, I'm bringing my father here for his next cut as well. The way I felt leaving the shop was 100 times better than when I got there. Eddie is a great guy. Besides knowing his job very well, I had a great conversation with him as well. I never knew how much better you could feel after a good haircut and shave. He trimmed all my facial hair as well and I have never had the whole barber service before and it was totally unexpected.
