I told my mom and she had me cancel my future appointments and get reimbursed. I asked for my x rays to be sent to my original dentist and after filling out the release form they never sent it. The front desk called them and they said they had no record of me ever going there. When I called them they said that they had already sent the x-rays, which they had not. After giving them five minutes, still no x rays, the front office called again. They didn't send them to the dentist, but to me after this phone call. Absolutely horrible, they were extremely rude after I said I wasn't going back. Worst experience ever. They tried to scam me and then refused to send my x-rays to an actually decent place.

They wanted to do a deep cleaning, I asked if it was covered and they said yes. I then got a bill for $700 a month later. I called my insurance and they said I could only get deep cleaning every 2 years and that it would be covered in 2 months . They told me I was responsible for the bill because I'm supposed to ask for the dentist to pre authorize everything. I told them that the dentist office said they did, but apparently they didn't because my husband and I are stuck with an unnecessary bill. They will be losing a lot of new business because my friends and family were going to come here since we all just moved to the area. We canceled future appointments and will be looking elsewhere. They seem to just want the money. When I told the office staff my concern and how it should have been covered and would have been covered if they waited 2 months for the procedure. To me that's all backward - like doing your hair and make-up to then take a shower. It doesn't make sense. I also asked about perio charting because I'm VERY aware of my oral care and mentioned that I don't think it's happening at my visits because I've never heard or been told about my numbers. I told her I like to HEAR what the pocket depth is so I know of any areas that I need to watch or spend extra care on at home (if there's a 4 or larger I'm spending extra time on that area). Dr. Godfrey is so gentle that even my children get excited for their dentist appointments. How many dentist offices can say that?
