I moved to Lake Elsinore from Long Beach, CA. When it comes to school districts, moving here was…read morethe worst decision I ever made. The district here is terrible, no communication between parents and school districts staff. I submitted an application for my daughter for the year 2023-24 and never got a call from the staff as I was told they would after reviewing my application. I didn't make a big deal because my daughter was only 3. I fill out another application this year 2024-25 and didn't heard anything for months so I decided to go to the district only to hear that I needed to submit some documents "again" so I did. Weeks later I call and was told that everything was good with my application and documentation and just needed to wait for someone to call me. I waited 3 weeks and no call, so I called back and was told that I didn't qualify for the full time program and I needed to submit additional income!!! and that they actually still haven't gotten to my application because they're working on applications received prior to mine!!! WTH.... Why are they so unorganized??? at this point I don't know what to do. I'm so disappointed and not to mention that the only two options of school are on the other side of the lake. I just wish they had better school system. ... If you have the option to enroll your child in another school district DO IT!!!

They're truly professional and wonderful folks. I really like the business style of these offices, they're comfortable and clean. However, I can't give Lake Elsinore Unified a five-star rating as the schools need more resources. Teachers are begging for computers and resources for the kiddos. Let's give it to them please! I think our school community will thrive if we pay more attention to the needs of our students. Also, I don't think this district is very inclusive, it's tailored towards only one of group of people. We need to CELEBRATE everyone! Not just a select few. I'm hoping we get there someday because I truly wish the best for the children of the future. Note: The D.O has a SchoolsFirst Branch!

My 13 year old who is entering the 8th grade went preschool through 5th grade and my 10 year old who just promoted to 6th grade went K through 5th. Both my sons really liked WCE. My experience through the years is the front office we're always kind, helpful and friendly. And all the teachers they had seemed to always care for the students. Maybe I'm being a little sentimental but I'm going to miss having a child attending WCE. Thank you for all the fond memories. So...... IF you're one of those parents who just expect to drop their kids off and their kids get straight A's then maybe a private school is more your thing. But if you're heavily involved in your child's daily life in and outside the classroom then WCE will be more than fine. Thank you for the fond memories WCE!
