It was like they( previous owner) bought the last plants from a nursery; and found unused bricks in a dump. It was a fountain in there the bunnies used to fall into and ran and extension cord under a retaining wall. Mike Holmes Make it Right would have loved that. Rettman ( Leon) worked with us to revise quotes to give us the best look for the price. They ripped it out; trimmed pine trees, cut one down, ripped out fountain and evergreen spreaders that were pushing retaining wall out; removed windburned arborvitaes, created a new rock edge section, added pavers and removed gravel but reused it in plant beds . They were on time, checking all the way to see what my daughter wanted and made creative suggestions about the look. We had them lay down fabric and mulch to create a bug free haven and wide open space. It was worth every penny $ 4400 and they cleaned up like they were never there. Thank you Carol, Leon and crew for a sanctuary back there now!

The first was a ginormous River Birch that was within 6 inches of my house (sagging over time). Not a job for the DIYer. MET brought an army and the right equipment and made that beast a memory in about 5 hours. In addition, they pruned branches from 4 of my other trees. The arborist did in minutes what would have taken me days. My neighbor got some firewood out of the deal. The second was a problem Box Elder (multiple trunks near the rear property line corner) that decided to drop a trunk on my shed one day and one in my yard the next. MTE came to the rescue and removed that beast one and all in quick order. My neighbors can now sleep in peace. They also took out a tree in my front yard that had been quiet quitting for awhile. While I wasn't watching, they removed major healthy large limbs and stripped the tree of its leaves saying, "That's how photosynthesis works." No, it works via the leaves, as we all learned in 6th grade. We were shocked. Neighbors stopped by as they, too, were shocked. Our beautiful, healthy 40 foot tree died soon after. We agreed I would not pay him for killing our tree. I later read trees like this can increase home values by $10,000. To this day, I remain sickened by what happened and wish I would have sued for damages. We wanted twigs/thin dead branches removed in our back yard trees, too. This is a row of trees. Instead he cut them so each tree extended the same length into our yard - something I was not at all interested in. I cannot tell from the other reviews but maybe they used them for tree removal only. They might be good for that.
