Also, the eggs should never be poached rock hard. Finally, the hollandaise sauce is a problem. I know there are powdered mixes that taste pretty good. I can live with that. This however, was just some kind of plastic sauce that was very hard to describe. The dish was served on a bed of shredded hashbrowns, which turned out to be the best part. I've had eggs Benedict where the hollandaise was slightly broken, or the eggs were poached a bit too firm, but this was just a mess. Not a simple mistake, this had all the hallmarks of just not caring.

Yesterday we opted for sandwiches. My husband loved his Rueben, after we heard from the sandwichdad on Instagram they have one of the best sandwiches in Saskatoon (the Rueben) and the jalapeño popper sandwich caught my eye which was perfectly balanced with the cheese and jalapeños. The soup was a perfect dip to eat with the sandwich or alone. I liked my flight of beers I had as well and noticed a happy hour from 2-5pm on some days of the week that looked appealing.
