I went in thinking I could just jump right back in to the color, highlights and cut I used to have. Unfortunately, after that illness and age, my hair had irreversibly changed and was too weak to take the processes it would take to make my "fantasy" happen. Naz was honest with me, empathetic and kind..she gave me realistic suggestions and "held my hand" throughout, used products that actually helped my hair and educated me on how to use them. I didn't walk out with the fantasy, but I did walk out with healthy, beautiful hair with a great cut. My husband noticed my hair right away (after 20 years of marriage this is a rare occurrence) and thought it looked amazing. And at the end of the day, I felt great about my hair and that's how you want to feel when you walk out of the salon. I cannot recommend Naz and Salon Biology enough!

A few days after my appointment, I called to let them know I wasn't happy with the results. I was told to wait about three weeks before coming back to have it redone. When I called back after that, no one answered. I then left for a work trip to Japan. When I returned, I submitted a request through their website asking for a refund. Someone from the salon called me and asked if I wanted to come back and have the same technician redo the service. I politely asked if I could have a different technician instead, but I was told that wasn't an option. Since I wasn't comfortable having the same person perform the service again, I again requested a refund. Then the owner told me it's too late to have someone at the salon redo it or to get a refund. Horrible customer service. I've attached photos comparing the results. The first photo is the lash lift I received from Salon Biology. The second photo is from a different salon that charged about half the price, and the results were dramatically better. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Salon Biology for lash lifts. I was disappointed not only with the quality of the service but also with how my concerns were handled. I will not be returning.

When I typed the address in to GPS, it turned out they had already closed at 6pm (instead of 7pm, as I had thought). All three of the other places I had been considering were by appointment only, likewise closed, or too far away (with traffic) for me to make it in time. Fariba was also closing soon. I decided to act quickly, not overthink it, and take a chance. I called to see if there were any cancellations in the next 20 minutes, and she was able to fit me in right away. (What a blessing.) Because my hair is quite short, was growing out into a bit of a mess (after shaving it off the last time), and I had not previously been happy with the places I had tried, I really did not know what to expect. Simultaneously, I had a very positive feeling from within, and felt surprisingly hopeful. It was indeed my good fortune to find Fariba. She is warm, kind, detail-oriented, very highly skilled, reasonably priced, and an absolute delight. This woman is a bright light! (Truth be told, she also rescued me from shaving my head yet again, which I really did not want to do right now, because I miss having hair, as well as having a more feminine aesthetic.) Sometimes spontaneity truly rewards us. Not only that, following those sweet little threads of possibility when they arise in consciousness to be noticed, can really open up stagnant energy in myriad ways, leading to rather inspiring outcomes that may potentially impact other areas of life. The visit was akin to receiving some sort of nutritive infusion. During the appointment, I never once felt stressed, anxious, confused, or worried about what the outcome would be. To the contrary, I felt peace and trust. I left feeling uplifted, relieved, more vibrant, and even smiling (which I have not done for some time). It was like dropping by to see a dear friend, after which you depart with a bit more pep in your step, and tangibly more sparkly than when you arrived. This was the second time I have had permanent makeup applied to my eyelids, The first time was In NYC. It was not only wildly expensive but extremely painful! The procedure took forever, and that was the only thing about it that lasted!!! So... I went into MACA a bit gun shy...Ilana was wonderful. She was patient and calming. She did not rush me and waited until the numbing gel had completely taken effect, Despite my wiggling and apprehension, she was exacting with her tattoo machine. Before I knew it, she was starting on the other eye!!!!! I went to Ilana to dye my hair platinum blonde. As you can imagine, going from dark black hair to blonde was a huge decision that took a lot of courage. I was afraid to do it for a long time because i wanted to do it with someone I could trust and with Ilana I felt 100% good about it. Her work with color is amazing, she did such a great job. I absolutely love this place. I have very coarse, thick, curly hair and Ilana straightened it and it turned out amazing. It was manageable, shiny, soft, and lasted days. If you are growing your hair out and a bad cut set you back, or you are dealing with thinning in spots, run to Christine. I had a botched cut about a year ago that I stopped midway through (despite my instructions, turns out the stylist I went to was attempting a layered cut), and it had been growing back unevenly ever since. I was staring down two or three more years of waiting for it all to grow back. I seriously was considering cutting it all off and starting over. I did not want either. Christine changed that in a single appointment. She does keratin extensions, minimally invasive, and she is a genuine artist at it. We started with a consultation weeks back where she checked my color and talked me through everything honestly. No upsell, no pressure, just real care and straight answers. Today she spent about an hour and a half placing the extensions and trimming everything to blend, and the result is exactly what I hoped for. Uniform length, perfect color match, and the thinner areas are masked beautifully while my own hair grows back underneath. What stuck with me as much as the work was watching her in the mirror. She stood behind me checking every detail with her fingers, and she was smiling, genuinely proud of what she had just done. That tells you everything. She runs her business herself, she takes the kind of care in her clients that the best people in any field take, and she does it all with honesty and integrity. If you need someone you can trust with your hair, this is her. I cannot recommend her highly enough. This is my first experience with hair extensions. I am overjoyed. And I am ever so happy to have found Christine, and I am looking forward to trusting her with my hair going forward.
