The lady at the front had to call customer service to have the shoe canceled, once cancelled I had to wait 7 to 10 business days for a refund. Here is is the 9th day still no refund. I'm waiting until tomorrow the 10 th day to call the customer service department back if there's no refund. This was their mistake and the company should found a better way to resolve this issue for example: offering the customer (me) another pair of shoes for the price of the ones originally ordered. Instead of having me wait for a refund in order to purchase my son another pair of shoes!

This place has only one entrance and ot serves as the only exit as well. It sits at the stores front so if there is a line of cars waiting to leave as was in my experience, you had to go to the other end of the parking lot and circle back to park the vehicle. It might have been the fact that we are nearing Christmas and everyone is doing last minute shopping but cmon, only one entrance/exit?

I had my card I used on tap and didn't know a card had to be swiped for you to do it this way. I was notified if I did the exchange with my drivers license their policy won't allow me to get the full amount back even with an exchange rather than a return. After understanding I was going to have to exchange at Prattville I grabbed my clothes from the counter and SHAN at the customer service dept pulled away and said I scratched her which made another employee immediately come in between us before I even knew she was talking to me as I did not touch this woman. I asked if she was saying I scratched her and she said yes you did when you grabbed your clothes and the employee had to tell her no, shaking her head so she didn't escalate any further. As I have verbalized this to corporate already, as someone who works in the medical field with the public daily I find it crazy that someone like this works with the public and in customer service of all places. If you know your employee requires supervision to have someone come between her and a customer maybe she shouldn't be in customer service? If I did this in my job I would be fired or at the least written up. This should not be acceptable behavior from staff.

I was told by Dave he could not help me that it would be 7 days before he could even see the transaction. I had to wait an hour only for April to rering my purchase and get the last 4 numbers of my card. VERY UPSET ?? over this whole process.

I have never been treated so rudely as I was by the owner of this company today. I like to buy local, especially since my family has a business in town. I have been buying sports equipment from this company since I played softball in the 80's. I needed lifeguard shorts for my son to work at the Y this summer and thought of MAC. I went in on 5/13/15 and a blonde lady and a lady with short brown hair were helping me. I told them this was new to me and was trusting them to give me the correct info. They had navy and red shorts. I asked if the Y had a preference and the blonde headed lady stated they did not. They only had navy in his size and they were on sale. The brown headed lady stated that they were probably not getting anymore in because people were buying on the internet. I stated that I would order from them if given the option. I purchased 2 pair, a whistle, and a lanyard. I found out this morning 5/14/15 that they can only wear red. I went into MAC with the shorts in the bag with the tags still on and my receipt. The owner and the brown headed lady from the day before were at the counter. I came in and said " unfortunately, the Y will only let them wear red so I need to return these trunks." The owner immediately said we do not take back sale items and "I can't help you" in a very rude tone. He stated that the sign stated this and they told me yesterday. I said that nobody told me anything yesterday about that policy. He said he couldn't help me and I left the store. I got into the car and my kids reminded me that I had asked the blonde headed lady if the Y did not let them wear blue could I bring them back and she responded yes. I looked at my receipt also in the car and nothing was on the receipt about sale items. I wanted to ask about my receipt not stating anything about sale items. As soon as I opened the door the owner motioned for me to get out with his arm and hand pointed toward the door. I asked him about the receipt. He said that there were signs in the store and pointed to one that said refunds only within 10 days of purchase. When I pointed out that it was not on the sign, he pointed to a piece of paper taped to the counter that stated no refunds or exchanges on sale items. He kept saying, very rude tone, about how I was told yesterday. I said, " Nobody told me yesterday". He then said you are lying! I said you are calling me a liar? I asked if he was the owner and he said he was. I said the reason that your business is declining is because you must be treating people as rude as you have treated me. Now, I understand about policy. I was in the store yesterday just trying to purchase the trunks for my son's first job. I didn't care about price. I wanted to buy local and the right ones. Now, the sign is at the counter and I did not pay attention to it nor was it pointed out yesterday at the time of purchase. If I had been told that there were no returns on the navy I would have probably double checked before purchasing. I certainly would have not tried to get my money back if I was aware. The total lack of customer service, the total rudeness exhibited by the owner, and being called a liar is what I have a problem with and will not support this business ever again. read more

I have to say, I've never experienced anything but professionalism and AMAZING customer service at this store. I believe in supporting local businesses and not buying into the big box stores and their games! You don't shop at MAC for "deals" you shop with them for the expertise and knowledge of products!! To the man saying he was using them to be "fitted" for a team....well, that's just WRONG anyways! When my son was playing football, MAC provided us with the product we were going to be purchasing in a size range so that WE could do the sizing and then purchase from there. So, I know from experience, they are willing to work with you or any team on sizing.....if you plan on purchasing from them since they took time to help you find the right product and made sure coloring and such was correct. Otherwise, you're just taking advantage of a FAMILY trying to make a living! And it truly is a FAMILY run business.....mother, daughter, father, son. They're trying to eat just like you and I are! I know Im certainly not going to get that kind of help at Dick's or Academy! Those aren't places I can run in in a hurry and tell someone what I need, they lead me right to it and it's exactly what I need! You can't get that kind of customer service anywhere anymore.....except MAC! read more

It was time for some new soles for a repair, so I came here. Immediately on entering the shop, I knew I was in the right place. It's the old-school. Paper tags, paper bags, old machinery. It's as shoe repair should be. Steve has been in business for 30 years and is teaching his son the art as well. Upon dropping off my shoes, Steve immediately surveyed the shoes, to include ripping off the old soles and showing me where the last repair shop went wrong. Not from a place of arrogance, but from a place of skill, respect, and reverence for the longevity of a good shoe. After less than a week, my shoes were repaired to a very high standard, looking better than they have in years. I cannot recommend this shop enough. Steve is excellent.
