Never have had an issue at an Academy. I tried to exchange clothes for another size at the…read moreMontgomery location that was purchased at the Prattville location. I had my card I used on tap and didn't know a card had to be swiped for you to do it this way. I was notified if I did the exchange with my drivers license their policy won't allow me to get the full amount back even with an exchange rather than a return. After understanding I was going to have to exchange at Prattville I grabbed my clothes from the counter and SHAN at the customer service dept pulled away and said I scratched her which made another employee immediately come in between us before I even knew she was talking to me as I did not touch this woman. I asked if she was saying I scratched her and she said yes you did when you grabbed your clothes and the employee had to tell her no, shaking her head so she didn't escalate any further. As I have verbalized this to corporate already, as someone who works in the medical field with the public daily I find it crazy that someone like this works with the public and in customer service of all places. If you know your employee requires supervision to have someone come between her and a customer maybe she shouldn't be in customer service? If I did this in my job I would be fired or at the least written up. This should not be acceptable behavior from staff.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Will NEVER go back. "Manager" April is a liar with a lot of attitude…read more Internet went down in the middle of my $400 sell. I was told not to leave the store. My back showed the sale completed, but April said it was on hold. I ended up having to wait for over an hour. I asked for the DM's phone number to be told by April that she didn't have it. The only number she had was for customer service. I requested a refund and was told I could not have one I called customer service and put the call on speaker for April to hear and the supervisor at customer service to talk to her. She told them she didn't tell me not to leave the store. I told her not to lie only to have April to tell me to lower my voice. She told customer service she had spoken to her DM about the situation. I told her she had lied to me again only to find out from the supervisor (Dave) at customer service this is company policy. The DM doesn't talk to customers. I was told by Dave he could not help me that it would be 7 days before he could even see the transaction. I had to wait an hour only for April to rering my purchase and get the last 4 numbers of my card. VERY UPSET ?? over this whole process.

The store did not even receive my purchase for the second pair of shoes. Instead of canceling the order and refunding my money. The lady at the front had to call customer service to have the shoe canceled, once cancelled I had to wait 7 to 10 business days for a refund. Here is is the 9th day still no refund. I'm waiting until tomorrow the 10 th day to call the customer service department back if there's no refund. This was their mistake and the company should found a better way to resolve this issue for example: offering the customer (me) another pair of shoes for the price of the ones originally ordered. Instead of having me wait for a refund in order to purchase my son another pair of shoes!
