    Like others I had issues with Luis at the GeekSquad…read more TLDR: I got what I expected, but was given threats of illegal actions by the geek squad agents of this location. Shady and left a bad taste in my mouth. I want to start by saying I am a Long time Bestbuy shopper, a total tech plus member, and credit card holder. I purchased an ROG Ally and had the SD card failure that so many people experienced with the first batch. So as part of the warranty process ASUS asked me to utilize Bestbuy to ship the device to them. I went through the Geek Squad and they took possession of my device. It was noted that my devices was scratched in the drop off notes when that was in fact NOT TRUE. My ally was in perfect condition. I was fearful that something would happen in shipping and I would be out of luck because this agent decided to write that in the notes without informing me of the situation. Luckily when I went to pick up my device it was in the same perfect condition as when I dropped it off. But when I asked the same agent (respectfully) why he didn't go over why he was putting that it was scratched, he said that it doesn't matter because they don't cover any scratches that they cause anyways. (If you don't cover scratches, then why claim my device was scratched to begin with?) He also falsely told me that if I removed any stickers on the device in the future that they would deny any/all warranty claims which is a direct violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. All in all I got what I expected, I thought the agent was super cool when I dropped off the device, but everything post drop off was shady and making threats of illegal actions. I can't stress this enough that I know retail employees have a rough job. I am literally one of the most chill customers a store can get. But this whole order really left me with a really really bad feeling. If the store wants to discuss this review I'm more than willing!

    Went to this location to inquire about getting some earphones fixed. I had a very normal…read moreinteraction with Luis, a member of the geek squad who explained to me the process and signed me up for an appointment a hour later. Their policy prevents them from running diagnostics on merchandise without the owner being present so I couldn't just drop the earphones off, I had to come back for the appointment, no problem. I come back on time, fill out some paperwork and Luis gets the testing started. He's on the computer for a while and tells me the earphones are indeed defective and it looks like they can replace them as part of some Apple extended warranty program. Awesome. So he signs me up for the service, let's me know I'll get a text when they're ready and all that. Then I notice a panic in his eyes, he's at the computer erratically typing away for another 5 to 10 mins before boom, he lays it on me; apparently my product doesn't qualify for the replacement, my best option is to just buy a new pair. Oh well, too bad so sad right it's not like this is BB's fault but I just ask a simple question; why did you sign me up for the service and told me I'd be able to get em replaced? Well at this point Luis lost it, it was like arguing with a child. He kept talking over me, repeating that he never said they'd be able to get em fixed, that I misunderstood and so on and so on. Well maybe so, but he's behavior was completely uncalled for and just unprofessional. Acting like a child in front of his colleagues and costumers trying to prove me wrong. I was so embarrassed for him and this store. The service and training is abysmal but unfortunately it's the only location in town and they do good business so they have zero incentive to change.
