All of the negative reviews are true.
Normally when you have a bad experience in a store, it is usually at the hands of the staff working there...but in this case, when it's the other way around and the owner is a Grade-A a**hole and lacks basic customer service skill and ethics....what do you do?
I went into MacFab to have some custom slip covers re-made for my outdoor balcony in a new fabric. I brought in my old slipcovers to MacFab so they can have a reference when they were making the new ones. I made that very clear when I left them there why I was leaving them there and I expected to get them back. Everything went well, until it was time to pick them up...somehow my old slipcovers went missing.
The lady who was helping me was beyond gracious in trying to find them, but when she couldn't find them and I expressed concern about this...the owner, Dale Sonier, interjected himself into our conversation, informed me very rudely that HE COULD NOT READ MINDS and went on a long winded diatribe trying to justify why the seamstress may have possibly thrown them out. I was told that they would get in touch with me on Monday when the seamstress comes to find my slipcovers.
Monday comes and I did not receive any call, so I called into the store to follow up and Dale answers the phone. When I tried to voice my concerns...again he is just rudely talking over me rushing to get me off of the phone saying he would check with the seamstress and call me back, and of course, no call back.
This was after I spent almost $600 in that store...not even so much as an APOLOGY for throwing away my old slipcovers, just taking your money and brushing you under the rug when you express concerns over a mistake THEY made. What kind of Owner does that?
I will never shop at this store again, any 'Owner' with half a brain understands that when customers have a good experience, they return to the store with their money and refer friends and that grows their business. Customer service 101. Duh.
Do yourself a favour, take your money elsewhere where the people actually care about their customers. read more
